After a truly wretched experience at the Cosmos Rooftop bar, we wandered into Mad Souls & Spirits hoping to salvage the night — and wow, did they deliver. From the outside it gives off dive bar vibes, but don’t let that fool you. This place is an absolute gem. We ordered the ANATIDEAPHOBIA (gin, lychee, and violet) and it was superb — beautifully balanced, slightly floral, subtly sweet, and dangerously drinkable. The real standout, though, was the service. Giacomo and Daniele were exceptional bartenders — warm, genuine, and effortlessly cool. They’re the kind of people who make you feel like a regular within minutes. Easy to talk to, full of personality, and clearly passionate about what they do. They completely turned our night around. Bonus points for the 90s music playing in the background — the perfect nostalgic soundtrack to great drinks and even better company. Highly recommend. If you’re debating where to go, skip the rooftop disappointment and head straight to Mad Souls & Spirits.
The camera did NOT drink first haha. Definitely recommend, great bartenders and good follow up recommendations for food and drinks. Their aviation take was balanced using the sweetest of the lychee. Their Negroni was balanced and delicious. If I'm visiting again, I will come back again.
Not great, not terrible. Feel like it would've been better if the bartenders and servers were more on point. Nice enough guys, but felt like they were more interested in kissing tourists at the bar then serving. Which is fine - we're on their turf but it felt a little lackadaisical.
Wonderful bar that made me and my partner feel like regulars immediately. The flavors from their own takes on classical cocktails were expertly made and perfectly balanced and the vibes were perfect. Neri and George gave us an excellent experience, highly recommend!
Atmosphere: 7/10 MAD – Souls & Spirits leans casual, with a pub-like vibe. Music volume is right, and the backbar is solid. Seating is focused on tables, with only a few bar stools, making it more of a social hangout than a dedicated cocktail counter space. Drinks: 4/10 Recommendation: – The fantasy-themed menu is creative in design and offers a large selection, but drinks don’t deliver. Flavors aren’t well balanced, glassware is below average, garnishes are absent, and presentation is minimal—only select cocktails get any special treatment. No coasters provided. Service: 7/10 Water is served on arrival. The team is friendly, though professionalism and attentiveness are only average. Reservations aren’t required. Prices are below Florence average, which does make it more accessible.
