Dining at the Atrium Bar inside Four Seasons Hotel Firenze was an extraordinary experience from start to finish. From the insalata di barbabietole to the risotto al limone and perfectly prepared pollo griglia, every dish was executed with precision, balance, and authentic Italian elegance. The ingredients were vibrant, the presentation refined, and the pacing flawless. What truly elevated the evening, however, was the service. Kudos to both the waiter and the sommelier — they were extraordinarily aware of my needs before I even voiced them. Water refilled seamlessly, wine perfectly timed, courses delivered with intuitive rhythm. Their level of anticipation demonstrated a highly skilled, synchronized team that made everything feel effortless. The sommelier’s wine selection complemented the meal beautifully, enhancing each course rather than competing with it. That level of expertise is rare — it reflects training, passion, and pride in craft. The entire team operated with quiet confidence and professionalism, delivering an amazing experience without ever feeling intrusive. It was refined hospitality at its highest level. Florence offers many dining options, but when service, cuisine, and atmosphere align like this, it becomes more than dinner — it becomes a memory. Bravo to the entire team.

We went to this restaurant for my spouse’s birthday. The plate portions were very, very small, as you can see from the photos. While this can be expected at Michelin starred restaurants, the small portion sizes of the dishes were still a bit disappointing. Honestly, after leaving, there wasn’t a single dish that really made me say “wow.” The service was excellent. They prepared him a birthday cake as well. The atmosphere is formal and elegant.

September 2025, dining experience Wow! What a beautiful hotel and restaurant. Love love the decor leading into the restaurant. Absolutely amazing. Service was excellent. When it comes to degustation, I pay extra attention to the serving plates. I just love them and II Palagio did it well. Portions and quantities were perfect amount. Intricate and delicate. Is always so amazing to see the thoughts, ideas and creations that goes into it. Food was lovely although I can't say every dish hit the spot where it swims in your pallete creating curiosity or pure satisfaction. Regardless it was a joyful experience.

Dinner at il Palagio located at the Four Seasons Florence by Chef Paolo Lavezzini is a 1 star michelin.. left us so confused between brilliant taste with the amuse bouche, beetroot starter, dessert and unpalatable mains with the sea bass fish - sea bass Wellington!! Referred in the menu as crusted sea bass, we thought just crisp skin 😆😆, lamb, gnocchi.. overall 2/10 and wouldn’t recommend it.

My wife and I had our 5 year anniversary here. Our first Michelin star and tasting menu experience. Expectations were high, and Il Palagio exceeded them. Very grateful for a wonderful evening here :)
