Would highly recommend to anyone. Perfectly clean. Very social. There’s an organized event every night (coordinated with some other hostels) so if you’re alone or in a duo and want to meet people it’s great. Nice common area and kitchen. 5 Pound Laundry returned same day. Perfect location. More fun if you’re a solo traveler than its sister hostel the Royal Mile Backpacker down the block :)
Great location, kitchen and showers. The lounge area was very good. Staff were super nice as well. Toilets were the main minus, also we could hear the door of our floor opens and closes very loudly
This was a very fun, welcoming, and comfortable hostel to stay at. The events each night were a great way to meet new people. The rooms themselves were very comfortable and big enough that they weren’t cramped. I loved the lounge style with how its decorated and different areas to hang out, even the lounge area by the reception was lovely. Overall a really good stay and would highly recommend!!
Booked through their website, and every interaction I had with the staff was great and helpful. The hostel is in a great location and in a safe area. However, our floor level had a terrible and unpleasant smell. Moreover, the sink/toilets/showers were shared for the whole floor. For context, I stayed in a 10 room bedroom and my floor had at least five bedrooms, and even if the other rooms have less beds, two sinks (and the low amount of toilets and showers) are not enough for the number of guests. As for cleanliness, it could definitely be better, but it was acceptable.
One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in. Great location. Nightly activities, decent shared kitchen. Just like Scotland everything is old but the building is very maintained.
