We had a wonderful stay at Gleneagles Townhouse and were hugely impressed by the overall experience. The building itself is beautiful and full of character, and the atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between relaxed and refined. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive and genuinely welcoming. Sophie and Irene in particular were exceptional throughout our stay. Both were incredibly professional, friendly and attentive, and they went out of their way to ensure everything was perfect. It’s the people who truly make a place special, and their care and attention made our visit all the more memorable. Gleneagles Townhouse delivers a fantastic experience from start to finish and we would highly recommend it. We very much look forward to returning.
I cannot imagine staying anywhere else in Edinburgh. Gleneagles Townhouse is absolutely stunning—so beautiful, grand, and full of character. The accommodations were amazing, and the food was absolutely delightful. But what truly sets this place apart is the team. The staff are incredibly warm and helpful in every possible way. I genuinely cannot say enough about how much they went above and beyond to make our stay so perfect. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely looked after. If you are visiting Edinburgh, do yourself a favor and stay here. We will definitely be back!
It was an absolute pleasure to stay at Gleneagles Townhouse. Every single member of staff we encountered were delightful and couldn’t do enough for us, they really went above and beyond, explaining the history of the building while guiding us to our room and giving some great recommendations for the city. The breakfast was divine, the room was decadent and the cocktails in the bar were delicious. Should we ever be in Edinburgh again we would love to stay here. We had the perfect stay to celebrate my partners birthday
My husband and I just stayed here for a few nights and had the best time. The spaces are all beautifully decorated and well cared for. The service is impeccable from the front desk to the restaurant to the rooftop bar and everything in between. We were so warmly welcomed by all of the staff and enjoyed our stay so much. We really could not recommend it more! Lamplighters on the roof is so lovely for a drink - shoutout to our bartender Greg who was the sweetest and so fun to talk to. Can't wait to come back!
We had a lovely stay at Gleneagles Townhouse. The old bank interior is absolutely stunning and gives the place so much character from the moment you walk in. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. The food was delicious, with breakfast being a real highlight — fresh, well-prepared, and a great way to start the day. Drinks at the bar under the old banking hall are something everyone should experience; it’s a truly special setting. Our only complaint was with housekeeping, who accidentally threw away a couple of bags, one of which had a comb inside. Unfortunately, after contacting reception, they weren’t able to retrieve it or offer a reimbursement. Aside from this small disappointment, everything else about the stay was excellent.
