We ended up going to the place twice as we loved the first visit. There are a few memorable dishes that were definitely worth the try here. First is the flat bread topped with pulled meats, picked onion dish. This was by far the best dish we thought and we thought we wanted to go back there just for that dish (though we wanted to try other dishes so we didn’t order the same again!) this was easily 10 out of 10! The platter of local cured meats is also one of my recommendations. For lunch, second visit, we had the selections of three dishes- one with the mashed potatoes, stuffed vegetables dish was so yummy, we had to scrape off the potatoes. The breads are so good here. You definitely want to book for dinner service as it was quite busy and packed up.

We were super excited to eat here for our last meal on our trip to Croatia but were left a bit disappointed overall. The food was good but extremely overpriced. The roasted pepper starter was our favourite dish but a very small portion for €14. The eggplant for €20 was also a very small portion and was bland - for that price you’d expect something exceptional. We enjoyed the Devilish chicken salad and the chicken kebab; the chicken was flavourful and cooked well. The tufahije was alright but we were just in Bosnia where we had tufahije that was much better for only €1.50. The food was all good, we were just expecting something more elevated for the price and for their Michelin recommendation. Another letdown was the service. There were multiple times where we had to ask repeatedly for one thing to be done, including one time when the waiter repeatedly argued with us even though they were in the wrong. We also asked for still water and they gave us a bottle of tap water yet still charged €4 for it. We had much better food elsewhere in Dubrovnik and in the rest of Croatia while being considerably cheaper and a better experience than here.

We visited this restaurant in Dubrovnik because of its reputation for quality, especially its meat dishes, but unfortunately our experience was disappointing. We ordered a mixed meat platter for two, which was quite poor in terms of quality. The meats were served on a very hot plate, yet they arrived cold, tough, and lacking flavor, which was very surprising. The minced meat pie was simply average and nothing special. For the platter, the pie, and two Coca-Colas, we paid a total of €104, which definitely does not reflect the quality we received. The staff was friendly and attentive, but that alone is not enough to make up for the shortcomings in the food.

We had Hurmašica, PLAVAC MALI GROSIC, Somun, and the Traditional Experience (I hope I've spelled these correctly). The food was decent; I had rather high expectations based on the Google reviews, but it didn't quite meet them. The Bosnian delicacy, in particular, didn't impress me as much as I had anticipated. I would not recommend opting for the traditional platter, as the portion size is quite small for the price. However, selecting individual dishes would likely offer better value in terms of both cost and quantity.

The staff was super friendly. We were lucky to have been seared without a reservation, albeit, the lovely lady told us to come back in 30min. There is indoor and outdoor seating. You may end up chatting with your neighbors 😊. Portions were respectable. Very tasty! We had meat and cheese boreks, pastry- filled rolls with a vegetable and cream sauce-delicious. Then we shared the beef steak with bone marrow sauce and a grilled pepper with garlic side dish. A bottle of Shiraz and a baklava with ice cream- shared, for dessert. We left a 10% tip and paid 150 €. The Taj Mahal is on a narrow street in the old town- definitely worth coming to!
