A great insight into socialist/communist era Croatia, the exhibits were really informative with great interaction points. We loved the Yugo (red) and my children liked the VR headset. The fully furnished flat was a great reminder of our times in poland. We had a few questions at the end and the guide was really helpful in answering them. P.s the music section was cool too!
This small museum provides the historical context needed to understand the origins of the unique character of this European region, Yugoslavia, with its achievements and its dark sides (not forgetting the repression under Tito’s regime). And, most importantly, it helps us understand the brutal war that followed the fall of the regime and its lasting consequences. It is a museum that is more than necessary
Very good layout with an amazing exhibit of a Yugoslavic apartment. One thing to improve would be the chronological palcement of text between 1930-1945 and some of the Tito period intead of left to right placement regardless of side. Staff was good, and there are some souvenirs available onsite as well
Well worth the 10 euro enterance fee. Super informative, at least for someone who had almost no prior knowledge of the history of the area. Many interactive things between the reading so it didn’t feel like a chore. Loved the reconstructions of different rooms. Lots of cool merch to buy if you are into that.
A return to the past with every step you take here, you'll feel like you're in a different era (people's democracy). For those who remember those times, even if they're from another country, this is an incredible reminder of elements of everyday life. Countless symbols in the form of everyday objects from many categories. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking memories or discovering history.
