Such a beautiful place to explore. The stairs was one used in GOT shooting and it is all so pretty. Even the museum inside is really good. It’s included in the Dubrovnik pass so must visit

Inside, the museum gives a great insight into Dubrovnik’s past, especially the political and cultural history of the Republic of Ragusa. The rooms are well preserved, with elegant furniture, portraits, and artefacts that make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. It’s not too crowded compared to other attractions, which makes it more enjoyable to explore at your own pace. The atmosphere is calm and refined, perfect if you want a break from the busy streets outside.

I visited Rector’s Palace in Dubrovnik mainly because I’m a big Game of Thrones fan — some scenes were filmed here, which made it extra exciting. The palace itself is incredible, with a beautiful mix of Gothic and Renaissance architecture, elegant arches, grand halls, and intricate details that tell the story of Dubrovnik’s rich history. The museum inside provides insight into the city’s past, displaying artifacts, portraits, and period furniture. Depending on your interest, it can be covered in about an hour or less. It’s best to visit with the Dubrovnik Day Pass, as the entrance is included — that way you save paying extra and can combine it with other sites. Highly recommend it for history buffs, architecture lovers, and Game of Thrones fans alike.

Included in day pass. The architecture of the building is beautiful. There are many oil paintings on second floor. Iron chests exhibition is impressive.

The Rector's Palace is absolutely a must-see destination in Dubrovnik. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here, completely captivated by the building's amazing architecture. The blend of different styles is truly beautiful and offers a deep dive into the history. The entire palace provides a wonderful insight into the city's past governance and noble life. For Game of Thrones fans, you should not miss this location. A major plus for visitors is that entry is included if you have the Dubrovnik Pass, making it fantastic value. As a bonus, the palace frequently hosts temporary exhibitions, and the war photo exhibition we saw was incredibly powerful and moving. Plan to spend at least an hour absorbing the history and beauty here.
