We wanted to escape the crowds in the old town, and since this museum was also included in the Dubrovnik Pass, we decided to give it a shot! It was definitely worth it, and we enjoyed our visit there. The museum is just a short walk away from the old town, with a stunning sea view on the way. The exhibition was perfectly curated with a great mix of sculptures and paintings of different artists (some of them even outside on the terrace). It was a very nice afternoon away from the loud part of the town, and a very lovely lady at the entrance of the museum!
Highly recommended if you have the Dubrovnik Pass. I really enjoyed my visit. There were far more beautiful artworks than I expected. If you have the Dubrovnik Pass, it’s definitely worth a visit!
Beautiful interior. The collections are not very impressive; the temporary exhibition is more suited for art connoisseurs. The lady at the ticket desk is not very communicative—actually quite unfriendly.
Went to a fabulous temporary exhibition but it's worth going just for building itself. Would really recommend a visit. On the outskirts of the old quarter so lovely to escape the hustle and bustle.
We just visited the Museum of Modern Art as it was included in our 1-day Dubrovnik pass, and it was a pleasant surprise. The museum has three floors showcasing a wide range of art — not just modern pieces, but also some more traditional paintings. There’s a lot of interesting context about the history of the museum itself, which adds to the experience. The building is impressive, located near Banje Beach, and it was great to have air conditioning, especially compared to some other museums in Dubrovnik. Don’t miss the sculpture garden upstairs — it’s a nice little hidden gem. It’s a small museum, but the exhibits, including some moving works of art, make it well worth a visit.
