A classic, wood-paneled seafood bar with a relaxed atmosphere and a great selection of Irish oysters.

Great food, I loved the scallops, cod, and creme brulee. The service was great, too. However, the atmosphere was extremely loud. I know I visited on Saturday night and there was a birthday celebration going on, but I am almost sure other nights it is similar. Nonetheless, it is a great place if you want to eat some fish. The waiter also went out of his way to check which country we were from based on the reservation number and wished us to have a nice dinner in our own language, which was very sweet.

Great restaurant with lovely fish and other dishes. The oysters were fresh and tasty. Fish dishes of brill and sea bass also very good. Recommend the crumble for dessert. Wine list was extensive and some good quality choices were evident. We chose a decent bottle of Saint Veran. Service was generally pleasant and attentive. Overall recommend and would return.

Had a lovely dinner at this restaurant in Dublin. Although I came alone without a reservation and was seated at the bar, the experience was excellent from start to finish. I ordered the marinated prawns as a starter and the salmon fillet as the main course — both were delicious. The atmosphere was warm and enjoyable, and the service was outstanding, especially from Ms. Nadia, who was very welcoming and attentive. Highly recommended if you are visiting Dublin.

Matt The Thresher Dublin is a celebrated seafood focused restaurant specializing in wild Irish seafood sourced locally. The dishes were well prepared letting the fresh ingredients shine. Standout dishes were the chicken wings, mussels and pork belly. Service was professional and unobtrusive. Overall a fantastic meal and wonderful dining experience.

Fantastic, as always. We've been coming here for years, and it's wonderful to see the high standard maintained for more than a decade. Ordered Fish & Chips and Scampi. Batter - light, crisp, flavourful. Chips taste like real potatoes (always a good sign). Tartar sauce excellent (not sweet, balanced well between capers/onions/pickles). Fish perfectly cooked, not over, within the batter. Friendly service, with an especially attentive manager.
