The Little Museum of Dublin was one of the highlights of our trip. It's a small museum, but it's packed with fascinating stories, objects, and photographs that bring Dublin's history to life. We especially enjoyed the mix of historical exhibits and quirky memorabilia, from old telephone kiosks to books, music, politics, and everyday life in the city. A special mention goes to Lisa, who introduced the museum to our group with quizzes and plenty of interaction. She made the experience engaging, entertaining, and accessible, bringing the stories behind the exhibits to life. We could easily have spent even more time there. In fact, after the introduction, we found ourselves lingering over many of the displays, especially an incredibly detailed scale model of a Dublin house that kept us fascinated far longer than we expected. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the whole experience felt personal rather than overwhelming. A wonderful place to learn more about Dublin beyond the usual tourist attractions. Highly recommended for anyone interested in the city's history and culture.
A must-go when visiting Dublin. Very sweet workers and very cozy (and little) ambiance. Everything and everyone there was nice. Shout-out to our tour guide, Lisa, for explaining everything in such a kind and animated way! Loved it!
During our visit to Dublin in December we visited the The Little Museum of Dublin and had Saul was our guide. The museum itself was amazing there was so much history beautifully packed into the stunning space, every room really cleverly curated. Saul was next level, he shared so much of Ireland's history and made it fun, entertaining and engaging. Highly recommend this if you're in Dublin.
The place is so cute and Lisa our guide was so engaging with all of us on the tour. She was great at explaining some key events in Ireland history. She is a good singer too! The staff at the museum are friendly and welcoming. Was such a lovely visit. Definitely recommend a visit!
A very unique museum that was created in 2011 thanks to the donation of more than 5.000 history objects by Irish people. I attended the “Famous Guided Tour” (ticket price 18€): we were welcomed to the first floor by Claire and here we could admire Tara’s Palace, a beautiful dolls house. Then Mark took over and led us to the second floor, where he told us numerous stories about Dublin and Ireland in general while we were seated in 2 rooms full of memorabilia. I really enjoyed this experience and the museum staff was extremely kind and entertaining.
