Amazing hostel! I stayed here for 8 nights and I did enjoy my stay. I stayed in the 10 beds female only dorm and it was super spacious and comfortable with personal lockers and tents. I gave 4stars because I would have preferred the toilet separated from the shower and because the kitchen is not available. It’s in a quite safe area with the Garda station in the next building.

This is a well-run, large, loud hostel. I stayed here (in a 4-person room) at the beginning and end of a 2-week trip. I got the breakfast during my first stay. It was fine, but I opted out the second time through. There are left-luggage lockers available, but their hourly rate is quite expensive. The rooms are in good shape and are cleaned very well. BYO towel or rent for 4 euros. My first mattress felt hard underneath my shoulder, but the second was much more comfortable. On both stays I found the bedroom unusually loud--the big hallways, high foot traffic, and hard surfaces everywhere (including the walls of your pod) make for a noticeable boominess--all sounds are amplified. Fine if you're a heavy sleeper. As a solo traveler, I found the hugeness-plus-busyness of the place a little off-putting--I didn't connect with other people as easily as I have at other hostels. That's always random, of course. Overall, the experience was fine, but if I passed through again I'd probably try out another option. As a side note, the Dublin Express bus (which the hostel recommends) is a great, easy way to get to/from the airport.

I had a wonderful time staying at Jacob’s Inn! The staff were very friendly and hospitable. If you arrive before check-in, they allow you to rent a locker for a small fee if your bed is not ready. This is a great choice for solo travelers due to the daily events in the common area. The beds are comfortable and private, with an outlet and free fan available at the front desk by request. Plenty of room for luggage. The shower and toilet are shared per room, but they have several showers available outside of the rooms if needed and public toilets in the main lobby. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay, this may not be the spot for you. They do observe quiet hours, but due to the social nature of the hostel, it can get quite loud during the nightly activities. I would more so recommend this location for more social travelers or those that don’t have trouble sleeping through a bit of noise. There is no kitchen, but this was made clear upon booking, so I still rate them 5 stars due to the services they do provide. The hostel is right by Connolly Station, so there is the added safety risk, so I would warn solo travelers to be vigilant when walking around the area, but it’s a short walk from the center of town and Temple Bar area, so I personally still found the location ideal. I would absolutely stay here again should I find myself needing a modestly priced stay in Dublin in the future.

Really nice and clean Rooms. We had a female only room, in which we felt really safe and also really liked our company, aswell felt really safe in the whole hostel. The breakfast was really nice. Can't complain at all for this price. Would go there again.

For such a pricey hostel, I didn’t expect to be shafted so much on all the “amenities”. Their luggage storage started at €4 for an hour and another €1 for a 2nd. I’m not sure if I missed something, but I believe they have a two hour limit. I was 10 minutes past and got charged another €3. They also charge €10 for a single load of laundry. Thankfully, I took my own towel or I would have been swindled out of another €4. Their breakfast was pretty decent and available from 7:30-11:30 am, considering other food options in the area I believe €13 was fair. The facilities are just ok, not super clean and not filthy. Lots of sticky handprints in the sleeping cubicle, but easily dealt with using a pack of Lysol wipes. I wasn’t impressed by their lounge areas, the benches were not very comfortable and the lobby music was exceptionally loud. The staff did their jobs, but I wouldn’t necessarily describe them as friendly or welcoming based on my experience. Overall, it’s probably a good choice if you’re a “party all night” kind of person, but otherwise I think your money would be best spent elsewhere. I had much better experiences at other hostels throughout the U.K.
