Had a great meal here. Small space with limited seating so I would recommend having a booking. The vibe is great as well as the service. Started with the Anchovy + Russian Salad on Toast which was amazing. Not too heavy or rich but flavorful. Then had the plaice per the staff’s recommendation. Another well done dish. The fish was so buttery and flakey, super fresh flavor balanced well with the light batter. Chips were classic thick style but not too heavy. Also got the butterhead salad whip was very fresh and a great compliment to the dish. Prices are a bit higher but the quality is unmatched. Definitely recommend if looking for a class fish and chips. Again massive shout out to the staff they are super friendly and knowledgeable!
This is one of my favorite spots in town for a quick lunch. The space is small, with an open layout and a clean design that gives you a good idea of what the menu is all about. There are no tables—just high stools at the counter and around the room—so I wouldn’t recommend it for large groups. It’s perfect for two people, or four at most. The best word to describe the menu is simplicity: dishes are mainly dressed with butters and oils, achieving perfection in every bite. The wine list is beautiful, with plenty of white options (as you’d expect from a place that specializes in fish) but also something for every taste. And without a doubt, they serve the best fish and chips in town.
What a cute little place this is! The staff are super friendly and the food was great. We ordered some oysters, cockles, and fish and chips. We enjoyed all of the food, but the stars of our lunch were the cockles and the fish! Cockles were so plump snd juicy and their catch of the day was Hake. No words for the fish…just absolutely delicious and well cooked. Hands down was my favorite fried fish while in Dublin.
my husband and i had a great meal and great service! the sticky toffee pudding in particular was so deliciously sinful. loved our time here, and the staff even recommended a spot to book for our next leg in London. definitely recommend!
This place lives up to the hype. This is certainly the best, elevated fish and chips I’ve ever had. Despite not being the most health conscious meal, they’ve somehow managed to make fish and chips feel and taste “clean,” in that the fish was extremely fresh and light. The crispy outside was delicious as well. The fries were also excellent as well as the tartar sauce. I loved the addition of the malt vinegar as well with the squeeze of lemon. The service was excellent and prompt. It’s a very intimate setting in that the restaurant is very small and everyone is seated side by side at the counters. Definitely a unique eating experience. If you are interested in a classy fish and chip spot in Dublin, this is the place to go. Highly recommend making a reservation.
