The food was very tasty and well prepared. However, the pricing feels quite high for what you get. €56 for a meat dish (see photo) seems excessive, and €25 for a single glass of average Cabernet Sauvignon is hard to justify. Overall, a good experience food-wise, but the value for money could definitely be improved.
We visited last week to try out Asador’s new sharing-style dinner menu. We started with a selection of sharing dishes — the prawns, arancini, and bread with honey dip — all of which were delicious. The prawns in particular were outstanding: the nicest, juiciest, and meatiest I’ve had in a long time. For our main, we ordered the steak which was very tasty. That said, I know steak tends to be expensive in general these days but I found the 8oz fillet a little pricey at €56, especially as it only comes with a handful of chips and a sauce, with sides charged separately. The overall bill for bread , 2 starters , 2 steak mains and 2 alcoholic drinks including a tip was €200 The restaurant has a lovely cosy atmosphere, great service, and a wonderful wine selection. I’d absolutely return — but next time, it’ll be for the sharing dishes (and definitely those prawns!).
Everything was good. But the fillet steak was amazing. I had picanha which was good, but my husband's fillet was perfect. The barbecue wood fire really makes a difference in the taste. The starters were also very tasty especially the risotto with duck.
My husband and I got engaged in early 2025 and decided early on that we wanted to have our wedding in Dublin. It's where we grew up, where immediate family and close friends live, and where we love to celebrate. The task became finding a venue that provided the important things we had in mind for our day: beautiful food, a tailored wine list, a welcoming space, and attentive staff who cared about our event and looking after our guests. On a very rainy day in February 2025, I trundled into Dublin city and visited 5 possible venues recommended to us by friends and colleagues. While each venue had a lot to offer, they were not hitting the notes my husband and I wanted. I went home deflated and very much starting to think we would need to consider a different type of venue. After a quick brain wave and flash back to an excellent group dinner in Asador some years before, I thought I'd nothing to lose and dialled Amanda's number via the Lennan's Yard website. It was 17:30 on a Friday and she answered the phone, talked me down from deviating from our hopes, and by 18:00, I felt that I was on to a winner. By the following Friday, I had visited Asador and Lennan's Yard, and we were booked for October. From the beginning, throughout the planning, and right up until we left to walk home on the night of our wedding, the team at Asador and Lennan's Yard went above and beyond for us. Not only was the food exceptional in both venues, but the bar was also meticulously organised, and the service timely on the day of our wedding. There wasn't a single fork out of place. Roman and his team in Asador paid attention to us like we were their own families. Amanda ensured the attention to detail they had promised in February was delivered to a standard that we could not have imagined. Amanda, you kept me sane throughout the planning of our incredible wedding in October, and I can't thank you enough. We wouldn't change a single thing. Asador and Lennan's Yard delivers to a standard unlike other venues in Dublin and we recommend it to anyone considering a beautiful venue in the city
We had an amazing server with great recommendations. The steaks were super good quality and tender. The side dishes (brocolli) had an awesome smokey taste to it. The wine was very well priced and really well paired. Restaurant is not packed, plenty of space, not too loud and with a cool open kitchen. Top restaurant in Dublin and of the best dinners ive had, ever!!!
