I have booked this hotel almost a year in advance. I was aware it was taken over by another company however at the time it said it would not affect my booking. Due to changing our travel plans we cancelled our reservation 4 months before check in.. in time for free cancellation. They didn't refunded us at all...lying several times that full refund was sent. After month and half corespondancy first with the hotel after with Booking.com, Booking.com refunded the money to the booking wallet/credit. Very disappointed!
The quality of this hotel was exceptional. Ryan was the best receptionist ever. Very calm very well worded and explained. Made our stay a whole lot easier. The rooms were clean and amazing. Reception calls were immaculate and all in all from the ambiance of the reception to the calm comforted bedrooms it was an amazing place.
The hotel was fantastic—much better than what the photos convey. That said, the reservation process could definitely be smoother. My card was charged for the security deposit at the time of booking, not check-in, which was a first for me and wasn’t given a heads-up. Then, I had to wait over two weeks for the refund and eventually had to call to get it processed. For a place with premium pricing, I expected the service side to be a bit more seamless.
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Sonder JBR by Marriott! From the moment we checked in, everything felt smooth and welcoming. Our two-bedroom apartment was spacious, perfect for 4 people and had stunning views over JBR and the sea — waking up to that skyline and beach every morning was just incredible. The location couldn’t be better — right in the heart of Jumeirah Beach Residence, surrounded by great cafés and breakfast places, yet still quiet enough to relax. One of the highlights was that we were able to use the pool and facilities at the Rixos Premium Dubai, which made the stay feel even more like a five-star resort experience. The beach right in front of the property is gorgeous, clean and perfect for morning walks or sunset swims. Overall, it was a truly perfect stay — stylish accommodation, amazing amenities and the ideal spot to enjoy Dubai’s beach life. We’ll definitely come back next time!
The price doesnt worth the room and the service.. the location is fantastic. the beach club is always full after 12:30 pm. the rooms has sewer smell. the phone is not working you only chat with the conceirge. and the couch in one of the rooms is broken and the hotel didnt change the room nor the couch. the parking people had a mistake and we had accedent with the parking barrier and the supervisor is not polite talking and acting like he is doing a favour for the customers. this was my third stay in Sondor and the last is the worst.
