Orfali Bros is a truly exceptional Michelin-awarded restaurant, and absolutely worth the wait — as reservations are understandably in high demand. The concept is brilliant: Chef Mohamed Orfali has created a modern cuisine deeply inspired by the rich culinary heritage of Aleppo. Historically, Aleppo was a major hub on the Silk Road, and its cuisine reflects a remarkable blend of influences — Arabic, Turkish, Persian, Armenian, and beyond. In my opinion, this makes it one of the most refined and diverse cuisines in the Middle East, if not in the world. At Orfali Bros, this heritage is reimagined with creativity and precision into a contemporary dining experience. Each dish is a journey of flavors, beautifully balanced and thoughtfully presented. The service is exceptional, with every course carefully explained, adding depth to the experience. A truly memorable culinary journey — the Michelin recognition is fully deserved.
Wonderful experience from start to finish. Incredible food, but what elevated it was everything else. Most crucially the story telling of the dishes. Intimate setting with the brothers introducing the dishes, accompanied by unique and delicious (non alcoholic) drinks pairing. Just got home and can’t wait to go back.
Could this be the #1 restaurant in Dubai? No Dubai bling, just amazing food and the most attentive service. Got lucky as one of the bros was present. Unbelievable how much passion they put in the plate in front of you. Was fourth visit and it only gets better each time.
Writing this a little late, but I had to share my experience at Orfali Bros Bistro — now I completely understand why it’s ranked the No. 1 restaurant in the Middle East & North Africa and holds a Michelin Star ⭐️ I went there alone during my Dubai trip, and it was such a beautiful experience. Every dish was bursting with creativity and flavour, presented like a story on a plate 🎨🍽️ A special mention to Sejal, she was amazing! She took the time to explain every dish, checked in throughout the meal, and made sure I had a wonderful experience It was also such a pleasant surprise to have Chef Mohammad Orfali personally come over to ask how everything was, that small gesture made the evening feel even more special. Truly one of the most memorable meals I’ve had in Dubai. Can’t recommend it enough! 🌆✨
Overall Experience Exceptional 15-course execution. Your fusion concept works because it’s disciplined and intentional. Family story comes through in every course without feeling forced. Dish Execution Umami éclair with porcini emulsion: Perfect introduction. Complexity that resolves beautifully on second bite. Strong technical control. Aged beetroot heart: Texture work is outstanding. This dish is a masterclass in mouthfeel. O-toro and chutoro with tuna garum: Clean, precise, quality ingredients showcased perfectly. Aleppo street bun with sujuk: Bold heat balanced with excellent texture control. MB9+ wagyu with sour cherry sauce: The standout. Cherry pairing is unexpected and flawless. This dish demonstrates confidence and deep understanding of flavor bridges. Beverage Program House-made kombuchas (smoked, chili variants) paired thoughtfully throughout. The stopped chardonnay adds welcome complexity. Creative program that enhances the food rather than competing with it. Service and Space Service timing and choreography are precise despite spatial constraints. Open kitchen integration works well. Team moves with clear purpose and coordination. Modern serviceware and plating elevate without distraction. What Worked Emotional authenticity in every course. Middle Eastern-Mediterranean-Japanese fusion feels earned, not gimmicky. Technical execution matches creative ambition. Small space used to advantage rather than limitation. Impact This is cooking with soul backed by serious technique. You’ve built something distinctive.
