One of Dubai’s most iconic hidden food spots, known for its simplicity and seafood. The setup is very basic, but the focus is entirely on fresh ingredients. The menu is straightforward, you choose and they cook it fresh on the spot. The fried crispy fish and perfectly cooked inside is the signature dish as well as the prawns. Great staff, portions and prices are reasonable. It’s about authenticity! Nice experience.

Bu Qtair Restaurant in Jumeirah is one of Dubai’s most iconic hidden food spots, known for its simplicity and exceptional seafood. This place proves that you don’t need luxury décor to deliver unforgettable flavor. The setup is very basic, but the focus is entirely on fresh ingredients and perfectly cooked food. The menu is straightforward—you choose your fish, prawns, or crab, and they cook it fresh on the spot. The fried fish with their signature masala is the real star. It is crispy on the outside, tender inside, and packed with bold spices that hit just right. Every bite feels fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The prawns were equally impressive, well-seasoned and cooked to perfection. Despite the crowds, the service is quick and efficient, and the staff keep everything moving smoothly. Portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and the quality is consistently excellent, which explains why this place is always busy. Bu Qtair is not about comfort or ambiance—it’s about authentic taste. If you love seafood and want to experience a true Dubai classic, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended for food lovers who value flavor over frills.

Heard so many good things about this place so I finally got to try it 👀 One thing to remember though, it’s cash only which was honestly the sad part because we had to rush to the nearest ATM 😭 The place was sooo crowded and since we went on a weekend, the waiting time after ordering was around 30 to 40 minutes. But the food made it worth it tbh. The prawns were sooo yummy 🍤 definitely my favorite dish there. The yellow fish curry was really good too. The grilled fish was alright for me personally, I found it a little bland and couldn’t really finish it. Overall it was a nice experience and if I ever come back, it would 100% be for the prawns 🤍

Bu Qtair in Dubai serves some of the freshest fried catch of the day, with the fish arriving crispy, perfectly spiced, and bursting with juicy flavor that highlights its incredible quality straight from the nearby harbor. The fried shrimps are an absolute standout—plump, generously marinated in their signature Kerala-style masala, and coated in a light, addictive crunch that makes every bite irresistible. For the full experience, dip both into their rich, spicy fish curry gravy with hot parathas—it’s messy, authentic, and easily one of Dubai’s best no-frills seafood meals.

A Dubai classic — and for good reason! Came back again and it never disappoints. The fried fish is perfectly spiced with that signature masala, crispy on the outside and tender inside. Served with a fresh salad, rice, and lemon, simple, honest, and absolutely delicious. The vibe is casual and lively, which is all part of the charm. If you haven't been, you're missing out on one of Dubai's most authentic dining experiences. Highly recommend!
