My wife and I recently stayed here for a 20-hour layover, and it was the highlight of our trip. If you are looking to experience the heart of Doha, you cannot beat this location: it is situated right in the middle of the vibrant Souq Waqif, making sightseeing incredibly easy before our connecting flight. A huge thank you to Sunil at the front desk, who was exceptionally kind and helpful. He went above and beyond by upgrading us to a suite, which was a fantastic surprise. The room itself was spacious, impeccably clean, and featured a beautiful private terrace and a wonderful jacuzzi to relax in. Whether you are here for a quick stopover or a longer vacation, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to be in the center of the action. We will definitely be back!

The people make the place and that is certainly true for the excellent staff at the Al Mirqab. I could call out a half a dozen individuals who made our stay magical, but the three most significant would be Omar our housekeeper, Ansar our concierge and Kynn at the front desk. Omar’s warm greeting whenever he saw us in the hallways always made our day and I can truly say that I have never seen anyone with a more brilliant and consistent smile. His service was outstanding as our room was always spotless. If the cleanliness of your room is an important consideration to you, Omar will not disappoint. Ansar was the first person from the staff we met upon arrival and the last to see us off, and his courteousness and interest in doing whatever it took to address our needs always had a personal touch as if he was there for us alone. Kynn was always consistent and helpful at the front desk to make our stay perfectly smooth. Also, as they say, location is everything, and the location of the hotel is excellent in the middle of the souq waqif. Quiet in the morning, it comes alive at night and is a vibrant marketplace and social center. With a metro station literally steps away, it is convenient to the entire city. We had a fabulous stay, from sitting on the veranda and listening to the call to prayer, diving into the energy of the souq waqif, and wandering throughout Doha, our hotel was a perfect base for our visit and was complimented throughout by a most excellent staff.

Room is average and tired looking (even the upgrade we received) and service has been poor, asked for extra bed before arriving, still not appeared and it’s almost the end of the first day. No extra towels, cup, slippers for 3rd person. Think there’s better hotels in Doha which are cheaper. Location is amazing and that is the saving grace of the hotel.

Cool location. Best service. Fantastic food. So happy we chose to stay at Souq Waqif. It was an experience that no other district in Doha cold provide. The service from the Tivoli team - particularly Ansor - was hospitality personified! We had a wonderful 4 night stay and can’t speak highly enough of the way the team attended positively to every need. Being able to walk among each of the Tivoli hotels for difference services and to the Souq Waqif markets for shopping and to eat made it extra special.
