We celebrated our first wedding anniversary at The Leela, Chanakyapuri, and it turned out to be a truly memorable experience. A special mention to Ankit, the restaurant manager, who made our evening so much more special. From the moment we arrived, he was incredibly courteous, attentive, and welcoming. His calm and warm demeanor instantly made us feel comfortable and cared for throughout the evening. What touched us the most was the thoughtful gesture at the end of our meal when he arranged a complimentary anniversary cake for us to cut. It was such a simple yet meaningful surprise that made our celebration feel even more special. Exceptional hospitality is often about the people, and Ankit's kindness and professionalism are a wonderful reflection of the standards at The Leela. Thank you for helping us create such beautiful memories on our first anniversary. We will cherish this experience and look forward to returning.
I had a scheduled airport transfer to The Leela Palace New Delhi, and that’s how I met Kranti. From the moment I saw him, it genuinely felt like our souls recognized each other. And he told me the same later on in the drive. I told him I was in India for a 500-hour yoga teacher training, and almost immediately he guided me through a simple meditation right there in the car. As the horns honked and the city buzzed around us, he had me chanting “Om,” calling the divine to my third eye, while he expertly navigated the chaotic streets of Delhi. It was such a surreal and beautiful welcome to India; grounded, spiritual, and completely alive. During the drive, he shared an idea that really stayed with me: life is like being in a car. Hopefully you have both a good driver and a nice car. Sometimes you have a bad driver: a chaotic, messy soul. Sometimes you have a bad car: a body you don’t take care of or one that’s plagued by health issues. But when you have both a steady driver and a strong car, the journey can unfold the way it’s meant to. In that moment, I truly felt like I had both (literally and figuratively) Kranti was also an incredible guide along the way. He pointed out landmarks, shared history and culture about Delhi and India, and spoke about spirituality with thoughtful, brilliant insights. It didn’t feel like a standard airport transfer. It felt like the first chapter of my journey had already begun. I’m so grateful he was my introduction to this trip. If you have the chance to ride with Kranti, you’ll be in very good hands, both practically and spiritually. When I come back to India with more time I will absolutely stay here again, just to ride with Kranti! Once I arrived at the Leela Palace, it was breathtakingly gorgeous. The staff was so beyond welcoming and friendly, regardless of how disheveled I looked in comparison to the other elegant guests. I stayed here as a last minute option since my flight was delayed and my itinerary was in ruins. And since I was only here in India for a YTT, I really only had comfortable clothes suitable for the ashram, not this stunningly beautiful hotel. They didn’t seem to mind at all and still treated me with the respect that they would give their distinguished guests. I went down for dinner and my waiter, Rik, gave me amazing food recommendations (from his hometown) so I could experience a delicious Indian meal without having to think about what I want. It was exactly the attentiveness I needed after the rough travel to get there. Weirdly enough, I’m so grateful that the flight troubles happened so that I could experience the impeccable hospitality of everyone at the Leela Palace. I would recommend and I will be back!
An Exclusive & Memorable Dining Experience at Megu, The Leela Palace Delhi.we explored all three of their restaurants before finally deciding to dine at Megu—and it turned out to be an exceptional choice. Megu has a slightly dark, intimate ambience that beautifully reflects the essence of Japanese and Thai cuisine, creating a calm and elegant dining atmosphere. Although the official lunch hours were already over, the staff went out of their way to accommodate us, which truly speaks volumes about their hospitality and commitment to guest satisfaction. The experience felt incredibly exclusive, as we were the only guests having lunch at that time, making it even more special. From luxury vibes and premium service to impeccable food presentation and outstanding taste, everything was absolutely top-notch. A special highlight was the complimentary cake served at the end of the meal to celebrate a birthday—a very thoughtful and heartwarming gesture. The cake itself was super soft, perfectly balanced, and not overly sweet, proving that they pay attention to even the smallest details.
My wife and I had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel warmly welcomed and well taken care of. Their professionalism, kindness, and genuine hospitality stood out throughout our visit. Every interaction was pleasant, and the Team Leela Palace went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and enjoyment. The attentive service and thoughtful touches made our stay relaxing and memorable. It was clear that guest satisfaction is a top priority here. Amit (chef at Qube) and the team ensured our daily breakfast was well looked after. They went out of their way for us to try their variety breakfast spread. We highly recommend this hotel to couples and anyone looking for outstanding service and a welcoming atmosphere.
