The ambience of the place and the mughal architecture elements blended with modern designs was beautiful. We arrived as a group of six for a family dinner. Some members arrived earlier and the waiter had said that the main courses were already ordered by the guests which had arrived earlier. In fact they had not ordered, and it was the chef's special meal which was the same dish table d'hôte. This deceiving behaviour from a high-end restaurant is unexpected. It is especially unsuitable for a family with children as the younger members cannot consume large portions per plate. When we saw all the plates arriving for the first course we asked why it is like this and if we could order a la carte. The waiter that was attending our table looked at us guiltily and refused. In future I hope that they hire workers with greater integrity. I would also like to see some more innovation with the food, the sort of innovation that blends modern and traditional elements of Indian cuisine reflecting the interior architecture. Fine dining is where food is meant to feel like an experience. This was certainly a negative experience and I do hope they improve their subpar quality in food and service as it impacts the image of Leela palace. TLDR: a) Misleading methods of service b) food tasted bland especially the chef's special entrée in which the mushroom kebab falafel whatever it might be tasted dreadful c) they do not take accountability for being misleading
Its so lovely dinning experience and the food itself so aromatic and appetising.. must visit if you fascinated with the fine dinning. Tushar was so polite and hospitable. Thanks for making our Christmas Dinner so memorable.
Service was very slow but the waiters and staff were very polite and respectful. Quite a small place for a north indian restaurant. The food was okay only not very tasty. We ordered dal jamavar and paneer makhani. The paneer was very hard and rotis were cold .
A Memorable Birthday Celebration at Jamavar Jamavar at The Leela Palace in Delhi is truly a culinary gem for anyone looking to experience the elegance and flavors of Indian cuisine. Our evening began with a warm welcome that set the tone for an unforgettable dining experience, thanks to our prior reservation. The ambiance was nothing short of spectacular—plush, warm, and romantic, making it the perfect setting for a special occasion. The service at Jamavar is impeccable. The staff anticipates your needs with such grace and attentiveness that you feel genuinely pampered. While the menu offers a limited selection of dishes, each one is crafted with precision. The standout for us was the Jamavar Dal Makhni, which was rich, creamy, and bursting with authentic flavors. It perfectly encapsulated the essence of what makes Indian cuisine so beloved. The highlight of the evening was the surprise birthday celebration. Jamavar graciously arranged a delightful birthday cake for me and my wife, adding a personal touch that made the occasion even more memorable. Such gestures go a long way in creating cherished memories. To round off our experience, we were delighted to receive a special discount thanks to our reservation made through EazyDiner. It's an excellent tip for anyone looking to enhance their dining experience at Jamavar. The ease and benefits of using EazyDiner made settling the bill a pleasant surprise.
