⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) An absolutely breathtaking place and one of the highlights of my time in Delhi. The scale of the mosque, the architecture, the atmosphere, and the constant activity around it create an unforgettable experience. Standing in the courtyard and taking in the views is genuinely impressive. What I appreciated most was how welcoming the experience felt. Despite being an active place of worship, I never felt any bias or discomfort as a foreign visitor. People were friendly, curious, and often interested in what I was filming or photographing. The atmosphere felt respectful and authentic throughout my visit. The surroundings are equally fascinating. Located in the heart of Old Delhi, the mosque is surrounded by the energy, chaos, and character that make this part of the city so memorable. Visiting Jama Masjid is not just about seeing a monument—it’s about experiencing a piece of the real Delhi. A couple of practical notes for visitors: shoes must be removed before entering, so be prepared to walk barefoot inside the complex. There is also an admission and camera fee for foreign tourists, which can feel somewhat expensive by Indian standards, but in my opinion, the experience is absolutely worth it. A must-visit for anyone coming to Delhi.

Masjid Jahan Numa is a truly magnificent and peaceful place to visit. The architecture is stunning, with grand domes, tall minarets, and beautiful details that reflect the rich history of Old Delhi. Standing in the courtyard, you really feel the scale and importance of this iconic mosque. Despite being located in a very busy area, the atmosphere inside is calm and spiritual. It’s a great place to pause, reflect, and appreciate the history and craftsmanship. The views from the mosque, especially from the minaret, are incredible and give a unique perspective of Old Delhi. Overall, Masjid Jahan Numa is a must-visit landmark for anyone interested in history, culture, and architecture. A powerful and memorable experience.

It is a must visit for someone visiting Delhi due to its iconic status. It is a magnificent structure with big open area in the center for offering namaz. It is relatively clean but needs our support to keep the surroundings clean. The route to the masjid is however cramped with very narrow road. It is better to park cars near Red fort parking and then visit the masjid by e-rickshaw.

The Jama Masjid is one of India's largest and most famous mosques. It was built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan between 1650 and 1656 in Old Delhi. 📍 Location: Old Delhi, near the Red Fort 🕌 Official name: Masjid-i-Jehan-Numa ("Mosque commanding the view of the world") 👥 Capacity: Around 25,000 worshippers 🏗️ Built with red sandstone and white marble 🚇 Nearest Metro: Jama Masjid (Violet Line) and Chandni Chowk (Yellow Line) Highlights Massive central courtyard. Three grand gateways. Two tall minarets offering panoramic views of Old Delhi. Beautiful Mughal architecture and intricate calligraphy. Best Time to Visit Early morning or late afternoon is ideal, especially if you want to explore the surrounding markets of Chandni Chowk and enjoy local food. Visitors should dress modestly, and there may be separate charges for cameras or access to the minaret viewpoint. Must Visit

It is one of the most stunning pieces of architecture I have seen. It’s very well built. I also went to the top of one of the pillars, and the view of Delhi from there looks amazing. It is usually very crowded outside Jama Masjid, so if you don’t like crowds, keep that in mind. During both day and night, the view looks great, and the architecture looks even more beautiful with the lighting.
