One of the best places to have butter chicken. The gravy is the major turn on.Ambience is calm and peaceful. The best part was the polite behaviour of the staff. The way they were giving attention, it added flavours to the experience. Though the price of the food is at the higher end, the filled restaurant proves otherwise.

Gulati’s at Pandara Road lives up to its reputation, though there’s still a little room to impress further. The food is good overall, but not mind-blowing. I tried the mutton platter, which was well-cooked and flavorful, and their signature butter chicken is rich, creamy, and comforting as expected. It paired nicely with the roomali roti and the mirch parantha, which added a nice kick. The ambience is a definite highlight tastefully done, lively, and full of good vibes, making it a great spot for a relaxed meal with family or friends. Service is decent, though the place gets quite busy. Pro tip: the waiting time can be long, especially during peak hours, so it’s best to book in advance.

Gulati Restaurant, Pandara Road – A Timeless North Indian Classic Gulati Restaurant at Pandara Road is one of those rare Delhi institutions that truly lives up to its legendary reputation. Known for authentic North Indian and Mughlai cuisine, this place has been serving consistently outstanding food for decades—and it shows in every bite. 🍽️ Food Quality & Taste The highlight, without question, is the Butter Chicken—rich, creamy, mildly sweet, and perfectly balanced with smokiness from the tandoor. It’s easily among the best in Delhi. The Dal Makhani is slow-cooked to perfection, deeply flavorful, and indulgent without being overly heavy. Galouti Kebabs are soft, aromatic, and melt-in-the-mouth, while the Mutton Rogan Josh is robust and authentic with tender meat and well-developed spices. Every dish reflects consistency, proper technique, and respect for traditional recipes. 🔥 Tandoor & Breads The tandoor section deserves special mention. Tandoori Roti, Butter Naan, and Roomali Roti arrive fresh, hot, and perfectly textured. Pairing them with gravies here is a delight, and the bread quality remains excellent even during peak hours. 🏨 Ambience & Seating The ambience is elegant yet understated—classic rather than trendy. It’s comfortable for family dinners, business lunches, and even first-time visitors looking to experience Delhi’s iconic food culture. The restaurant is spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with indoor and outdoor seating options that work well in pleasant weather. 👨‍🍳 Service & Hospitality Service is professional, prompt, and knowledgeable. The staff is courteous and happy to guide you if you’re visiting for the first time. Despite the restaurant often being crowded, orders are managed efficiently without making guests feel rushed. 💰 Pricing & Value Gulati falls into the premium category, but the pricing is justified by portion size, taste consistency, and overall experience. You’re paying for legacy, quality ingredients, and dependable excellence—and it feels worth it. 📍 Location & Accessibility Located in the iconic Pandara Road Market, it’s easily accessible and surrounded by other popular eateries. Parking can be limited during peak hours, so planning ahead helps. ✅ Final Verdict Gulati Restaurant is not just a place to eat—it’s an experience of Delhi’s culinary heritage. If you want authentic North Indian food done right, with zero compromise on quality, this is a must-visit. Ideal for both locals and tourists looking for a reliable, memorable meal. Highly recommended! 🌟🍛

Gulati has been a childhood favorite of mine. Every time I return to Delhi I try to squeeze in a meal here. We had the lunch buffet, 2 non veg and 1 veg. Everything on the menu was fabulous. Starters to mains to dessert. We were stuffed beyond words. The service was impeccable! Highly recommend this place.

Well-known for their butter chicken and with good reason; probably one of the most flavourful ones I’ve had during my time in India. Chicken is well cooked through and rendered, curry is just the right amount of thick. Pairs extremely well with the garlic and butter naan. Honey chilli cauliflower was quite delightful too, great choice for vegetarians.
