Frankly, thoroughly disappointed. Heard a lot of good things but the food came up quite short of expectations. The night started off well, good service and quick seating (we originally had a reservation for 7:30, and they let us push it to 8pm when we called to say we’d be late), however things went downhill when we started to get the food (main food order in the image attached). First off, we found it odd that our waiter tried to get us to start with the jumbo prawns and lamb kebab (leaving only potato and cauliflower as mains) because the other dishes would “take too long” (ie 20mins) - the organization of the menu was odd. We started with the Dudiya kebab (was good), the prawns were also good but the sauce could be better (more flavourful). The lamb kebab was very soft (almost too soft) and the cardamom was overpowering. Vegetable dish was also lacking in flavour. For having the naan under “specialities” it was kind of disappointing - some pieces were burnt and none were very soft or chewy. We were also disappointed when a waiter randomly brought us a bottle of sparkling water without us asking for it and then opening it and poured it before we could say anything (of course they charged another ~5$USD). They also messed up our drink order after we were very explicit - when it came, we told them this is not the order but they wouldn’t offer to remove the twenty dollar drink we didn’t order. Overall, there are significantly better places for this type of food in the city. The food is subpar for the price. At usd$210 for 2 people in a city where you can easily have an amazing meal for under usd$40 for 2, I expected so much more, from both food and quality of service. You’re really only paying for the silverware, ambiance, and the location (in a very nice hotel).

Had a wonderful dining experience at Dum Pukht. The food was absolutely delicious, full of rich and authentic flavors, and every dish was perfectly prepared. The atmosphere was calm and elegant, making the experience even more enjoyable. A special thanks to Karan for the great hospitality — very friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. His service really stood out. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for amazing food and excellent service in Delhi.

A Dining Experience That Stays With You Long After the Last Bite Dum Pukht at ITC Maurya in Delhi, is not a restaurant. It is a confident, unhurried song of the swan — so refined and captivating. Indian cuisine at its finest has no equal anywhere in the world. Our party of ten arrived with high expectations and left with the kind of quiet disbelief that only a truly exceptional meal produces. From the youngest at our table, thirteen years old and admittedly skeptical of fine dining, to our most seasoned guest at fifty, every single person was not just satisfied but genuinely moved by what arrived course after course from Chef Qureshi's kitchen. The dum cooking - slow, sealed, patient produces flavours that feel less cooked and more revealed. The awadh style wrapped biryani alone justifies the journey. The kebabs carry centuries of Awadhi refinement in every bite. The breads arrive with the kind of care that makes you slow down and pay attention. But the soul of the evening was Chef Qureshi. His presence was felt as genuine dedication - a man who cooks with the conviction that every guest at every table deserves his absolute best regardless of age, occasion, or appetite. He navigated our diverse table with grace, ensuring the younger members felt as considered and welcomed as the adults, adjusting recommendations with warmth and expertise that comes only from culinary heritage of decades of true hospitality. Dum Pukht does not chase trends. It does not need to. It simply continues, meal after meal, to remind you what it feels like to be genuinely taken care of. Go. Take everyone you love. Let Chef Qureshi and his able team do the rest.

I haven't been to this place in a long time and was really looking forward to the food and it didn't disappoint. We started with some drinks. It seemed they were out of all the reasonably priced liquor and only had the more expensive ones. They should just take the rest off the menu if they don't have the stuff. Anyway, the service seemed a bit off but the atmosphere was great. We started off with some chicken tikkas which were melt in the mouth. Really really good! We ordered the raan, the nehari, the dal and a chicken curry. Two tandoori rotis and two khameeri roti. We also got the gucchi pulao which was fabulous! Overall the meal was really good but it is really rich and heavy. But a great experience!
