Inca complex surrounded by walls that were made by fitting stones tightly together without mortar.via Google

A massive Inca fortress built with megalithic stones—some weighing over 120 tons—that fit together so perfectly without mortar that a piece of paper cannot slide between them.

Good to know
Included in the Boleto Turístico. It requires a steep walk or short taxi ride from the center.

Mind boggling massive Inca structure and citadel on the outskirts of Cusco, Peru. Great views of the township and surroundings. Went with a guide who explained the history and origins of the archaeological site, one must go to see the amazing intricate wall structures. As usual, was thrilled to see llamas and alpacas around the area and surrounding fields.

Great place to hike, walk, enjoy the view, lean about pre-inka time. We didn't get a guide, it's fine just to go and walk around this magnificent ruins. There's also access to the view poin t on Cusco. Gorgeous view! I recommend going, just wear comfortable shoes!

You cannot leave Cusco without visiting this Inca fortress. The scale of the stone walls is mind-blowing, some blocks weigh over 120 tons and fit together perfectly without mortar. Plus, the panoramic view over the city from the top is spectacular. Price: 70 soles for the Partial Tourist Ticket (Boleto Turístico). Note that you can visit nearby sites (Q’enqo, Puka Pukara, Tambomachay) with it too. You can walk up from Plaza de Armas via Resbalosa street or past San Cristóbal church. It’s a steep climb up stone stairs and hills that takes 30–45 minutes. Take it very slow, as the altitude (3,700m) will quickly leave you breathless! A taxi or Uber from the center takes about 10–15 minutes and costs around 10–15 soles. Bring water and sunscreen. I visited at 7 AM and not much later it started to get hot.

The main inka attraction in cusco! Worth the visit and the stroll around! Take your time and walk around to enjoy this place and get the first impressions of the incas capabilities

This place is beautiful and precious, it's a UNESCO World Heritage Site for sure. Unfortunately, there was a bummer, there was no guided tours offered by the museum. There were no information panels on the grounds, except for two or three at the entrance. A map of the site, which we were given upon request, contained virtually no information, but advertisements for other museums in Cusco. For the 70 PEN entrance fee, Guests could expect a bit more effort. You should definitely hire a guide to understand everything that's to discover.
