The ultimate budget experience. Head to the food stalls at the back for incredibly cheap, steaming bowls of local soups.

Visiting Mercado Central de San Pedro is a true deep dive into the heart of Cusco. It’s not just a market; it’s an explosion of colors, scents, and tastes. The fragrance of local herbs and fresh greenery is enough to make any traveler's spirit soar. What makes it special is the generosity of the sellers—they let you taste the magic of Peruvian fruits before you buy. Whether you're looking for unique souvenirs, delicious local chocolates, or a refreshing glass of fresh juice, this place has it all. It’s a captivating experience that feels like stepping into a whole new world. A must-see for everyone!
Great place to taste all the goodies Cusco has to offer and do a little shopping. There's a lot of touristy stuff, and a lot that isn't. Hit the fruit/juice stands, check out the intense butchery area, have a delicious cheap meal while hanging with the locals.
It's not just tourists who eat and shops here, the locals do too. They've got local stuff, food, fresh produce, drinks, souvenirs, and even pisco. I love chicken soup, and a bunch of places sell it, but only the one on the corner is packed. It's so good, with a savory broth and juicy chicken. There are also lots of fresh fruit juice stands, and they're all good. They squeeze it fresh, no ice, no sugar, it's so fresh and delicious. You should check out this market before 10 am, otherwise, it'll be super crowded.
Located very centrally and easily accessible, this market offers a little bit of everything, with a wide variety of local products such as fruits and vegetables, supplements, flours, coffee, and local herbs and medicines. It's also a great option for breakfast, offering a refreshing pitcher of fruit juice or a fruit salad. I recommend Martha Luz's stand
