Cicciolina delivered one of the best dining experiences I had in Cusco. I walked in for a late midweek lunch and was given a beautiful table by a light-filled window, which set the tone straight away. The service stood out. The waiter took the time to walk me through the menu and specials, speaking a little slower to bridge the language gap, which I appreciated. I asked for guidance on something lighter while acclimatising to the altitude and the recommendations were spot on. I started with finely prepared alpaca in an Asian-style sauce with creamy sweet potato, bacon, pineapple and a wasabi mayo, which was well balanced and not overly heavy. The duck breast for the main was cooked perfectly pink, with a rich spiced port sauce, paired with an arracacha pastel and sautéed chard that brought everything together. For dessert, I went with the waiter’s favourite, a mashua-themed dish inspired by his childhood. That personal touch made it more memorable, and the flavours, especially the cacao elements, were excellent. The non-alcoholic drinks were fresh and well considered, not an afterthought. Overall, the food, service and atmosphere all aligned. It is centrally located, easy to access, and absolutely worth it for anyone looking for a refined dining experience in Cusco.
Had a great family dinner. Everyone liked their food, pricing was reasonable, and service staff were very attentive. We liked the pictures and the historic murals as well.
Romantic & lovely ambience at Cicciolina - fusion of Italian & Peruvian influences. I had their Pisco mule to start & my husband their Pisco passion fruit cocktails. We were then served a selection of local breads & dips. Had to try their gyozas stuffed with slow cooked guinea pig - I was amazed it was done well. Next was a trout & avocado causa - delicious. And we also had their Amazonian potato croquettes. Everything was superbly cooked & if we had more stomach space, we would have eaten more. Fabulous restaurant - would highly recommend during your stay in Cusco !
If you want a kind of upscale food experience in Cusco this is your place. Tried even Cuy here but in a fillet form (couldn’t do the full one). Great views and probably the best pisco sour I tried in Cusco. River fish fillet was fantastic.
The fried polenta was to die for — genuinely one of the nicest things I’ve tasted in a restaurant. Paired with the succulent chicken thigh, those dishes completely stole the show. The tagliatelle with lamb ragout was decent, but nothing particularly memorable in comparison. The restaurant itself was lovely and the staff were super attentive throughout. My only gripe was the SOL 8 per person charge for bread. Credit where it’s due, the waiter was very upfront about it, but it still felt a little unnecessary given the marginal cost and the pricing of the rest of the menu. That aside, it was still a very satisfying four-star experience overall.
