Just wow. Best hotel in Cusco if not Perú. The location is very convenient, the building is actually a museum owned by the Vatican church. The service is outstanding, I didn’t feel well the second night and in 10 minutes they sent me a doctor along with a nurse in the middle of the night. Our butler EDI went above and beyond to make us feel at home, from the little gesture like proving us waters in our taxi to taking pictures for us, or explaining us the history of the hotel. Thank you so much EDI we will not forget you. Another mention to the tour guide of the hotel very elegant and professional lady. Keep it up with the excellent service

The most beautiful experience my wife and I have ever had. From the moment Executive Lucas greeted us to the moment we departed over a week later, we had never been treated with such kind and caring attention by a hotel stay. It is located in the heart of the city and we felt safe at all times and everything was a short walk to and from. Lucas was the most accommodating member we have ever met in all of our stays across the world. The Belmond provided transportation for the airport and for the train station to Machu Picchu (I would have been so lost if they had not helped!). We had the most lovely experience for Brunch at their OORE restaurant and Maria was nothing short of exceptional in her services!! Having her every morning for breakfast made the experience that much better. The bar also offered an Andean Spirit Tasting we were introduced to by a fantastic bartender Steve and the ever welcoming Fernando. We enjoyed Fernando so much that we returned for a glass of wine almost every night! Each recommendation we were given turned out to be great - from museums to dinner reservations. I could not recommend this stay enough to anyone of all ages. Thank you Lucas, Maria, Fernando and Steve and Soncco so much!

The service at Monasterio was absolutely wonderful. I would say it was the highlight of our entire stay in Peru! From our very first morning, the staff made us feel incredibly well-cared for. Each interaction felt warm, personal and sincere, especially at breakfast. Our waiters were attentive and anticipated our needs before we even had to ask—our cups of coffee were never empty! I was struggling a bit with the elevation, so a waiter named Dario served me coca tea each morning to help with my altitude sickness symptoms. He even thoughtfully prepared a to-go cup and other treats for the road to make sure I stayed comfortable. Another waiter, Soncco, took the time to give us a brief tour of the hotel grounds. He shared fascinating stories about the former monastery’s history and architecture that made our breakfast feel like more than just a meal. It is rare to find a team so committed to their guests; they treated us with such kindness that we felt more like welcomed friends than hotel guests. Thank you, Dario and Soncco!

Gorgeous Architecture, Pretentious Service—The building itself is a breathtaking piece of history, but unfortunately, it is seriously mismanaged by Belmond. The hospitality falls completely flat, starting with a pretentious greeting from the front door staff. We live in Asia and are accustomed to true 5-star hospitality; this does not even come close. To make matters worse, the tea was served in ugly ceramic cups rather than fine porcelain, which you would expect at this price point. I am incredibly glad we only stopped by for drinks and booked our actual stay at one of the other beautiful hotels on Plaza Nazarenas. Save your money and go elsewhere for service that matches the scenery.

Oh this place is absolute perfection! The staff was super amazing, the facility is GORGEOUS! Beautiful grounds, breathtaking artwork everywhere, and Live opera with dinner was the highlight of our stay! The rooms were beautiful, clean, and had the roomiest most comfortable bed and the baby alpaca throw blankets were so super lux! The room is also super dark and quiet with the window shutters closed. Something we really appreciated as it helped us sleep soundly. Turn down service was fit for royalty! We loved our stay and we were really sad to leave. If we're ever back to Qosco, this is where we'll stay without a doubt. Do yourself a favor and stay here. You won't regret it!
