The hostel/hotel exceeds expectations every time. It is affordable while also being a place that consistently does exactly what you need it to. The beds are comfy and clean, there is enough space in the rooms to not be cramped together. The lockers are a bit small and won't fit a suitcase or anything bigger than a backpack, but most people are understanding if that stuff is in the way. Great location, super close to the train station which is really convenient. Can be a little loud due to the people on the street below, but that is not at the fault of the hotel.
We didn't know what to expect but our stay was fabulous. Staff were friendly, warm and welcoming the whole time, our room was comfortable and very quiet, breakfast was delicious and there were plenty of spaces to relax. It was great to have fridge and kitchen facilities and also to be so close to everything in the city centre. We loved the live music in the bar on our last night too. We'll definitely use Meininger again in other cities.
A nice hotel at a great location, a two-minute walk from the central station. The staff are friendly and speak English no problem, rooms are small, but enough for a short stay. Breakfast is nice, and really sufficient if you aren't too picky. The only drawback is that the walls are really thin, so I'd recommend packing some earplugs if you're a light sleeper. Overall a nice place to stay in that price range. Next time I'm in Copenhagen, I'm staying there again.
For a budget hotel I must say it wasn’t too bad at all. The location is spot on. The cleanliness was rather good. The rooms were spacious and the staff were friendly and spoke good English. There were no hidden costs. The only downside to this place was how much you could hear from outside your window. Our room was located above the bar. We heard horrendous level of noise from people downstairs. Screaming, shouting, laughing. I wouldn’t have minded if it were a weekend however it was a weekday where we had to be awake at 5am for a busy day ahead. The rooms are in no way sound proof. You can hear a lot of doors slamming and people talking in the corridors. You get what you pay for!
Mama, baby, toddler and grandma. 24/7 front desk. The staff are friendly, accommodating and professional. This was the perfect place for us! The common kitchen just blew my mind! They have a playroom for kids with dining and TV area so we can still watch the kids while they’re playing. It’s walking distant to Tivoli and train stations! A lot of restaurants around, there’s even a market nearby!
