Famous Michelin guide restaurant that specialises in Danish cuisine, specifically smørrebrød / open-faced sandwiches. We ordered the set lunch, which comes with 2 smørrebrød and a dessert, and which costs 395DKK. The chicken salad was honestly a surprise. We were not expecting it to taste so good, yet it was one of our favorite. The beef tartare was excellent too. The chocolate based dessert, pålægschokolademad, was also a lovely treat for people with sweet tooth. Overall, we absolutely loved our meal here. We loved the restaurant decors and ambiance. A reservation is recommended given how popular the restaurant is.
Had a lovely time dining here with my husband. Our server was very kind and accommodating (I forgot his name but thank you!!) We got both of their shrimp and salmon Smørrebrød and even the dessert one with rhubarb. Everything was amazing and of high quality. The ambience is also beautiful and perfect for date night.
Amazing lunch- the Smorrebrod were amazing. Love the Beer & Snaps combo- the dill snaps paired amazingly with the seafood, Rye snaps was delicious and unexpectedly great recommendation from our waitress. Highly recommend the Herring, which was a standout favourite. Busy spot on a Saturday
Fantastic!Dining week 5 course is good value. Gooooood smoked salmon smørrebrød and the chicken salad smørrebrød blew my mind as I normally don't like chicken over any other meat. For anyone wondering the order of the having the three smørrebrøds, I would suggest people start with the beetroots one and then the chicken and finish with the salmon one. Probably the best smørrebrøds for its great combination of everything and balancing the taste. The pork neck meat is great but the sauce is a little bit too salty. The plates could be pre-warmed up a bit for the main dish tho. The dessert is really good. I‘m not too fond of the lemon mouse itself but I especially loved the blood orange sorbet part which tastes so fresh and naturally sour without being bitter. The mandarin/orange on the side were good quality too. Overall great experience.
We loved our experience at Aamanns 1921 and can’t wait to come back here! We each ordered the set menu for our meals. Each dish was a hit. The drinks were also fantastic. Of the dishes, our favorites were the oysters, rhubarb desert, ravioli and shrimp toast.
