Great location, but the other reviews about the smell and dirty blankets are true. My room stunk like wet dog and the blanket stench of BO and rotten cheese was so awful I kept waking up from it. Not many other value options in town so if you can take the stench it may be OK to deal with for one night. It's 100d for a dorm bed if you go direct inc tax (cheaper than online)
I’m sorry that I have to give such bad review but hygiene there is just unacceptable. Very good location just next to old Medina and the sea but not deep into Medina - Medina in Casablanca is not the best. Nice staff - girl in the morning and breakfast 🥞 ladies. Nice breakfast 🍳 Cons: Extremely unhygienic. I stayed there various nights and not even once the sheets were changed. My sheets had stains all over them. I even asked the man who worked there at night to give me new sheets so I can change them myself but he said he did not have access to them - the sheets smelled also very bad. Extremely cold 🥶 - I visited in the winter and it was impossible to stay inside where the temperature was about 5 degrees lower than outside. No hot 🔥 water. In the showers there was only one shower with mildly warm water impossible to take shower Flies in the bathrooms at least male bathroom-they were everywhere during the night it was just disgusting I was showering in local Hamam near by everyday. IMPORTANT! They close the hostel at night and if you are not able to wake up the night guard you’ll be staying out. At the same time people coming back late night and knocking the door we’re waking up everyone as you can hear it in the room. Overall in the future I would stay there again but only after checking reviews if they improved hygiene standards because as it was when I was there it was just dreadful. And if i stay there again l'd make sure that they give me new sheets and I change then myself.
Mattresses that have aged, a stale pungent air floats around. Needs a refurb, but it's in a great spot. Water isn't too hot in the shower and the building is cold in thr winter time. So if you need a quick bed down, great, otherwise it's not worth more than a day.
I'm sorry but this is the worst HI hostel I've ever been. Full of noise, bed sheets used again without being washed, no basin with hot water. The okay things are cooperative staff and shower that provides warm water
The hostel here is good but there is an old man here whose behavior is very bad.the lady here ,and the one george and he is both good. But that old man doesn't know to enter a room to respond to someone when he enters a room ,he has to knock even if there is no door.he doesn’t even have a manners My opinion is that we should get rid of that old man here . We have forgiven many times, he said, but how much will we forgive that’s why. I have very ,very, very bad opinion of him
