Reviews from Google
We stayed here for 3 nights whilst working. We are musicians so we have stayed in a lot of places. The one star reviews are unwarranted. The place is fine, if not a bit run down. The rooms were old, and could use a lick of paint, but not unhygienic. The bar and food are really great though, and breakfast was fine and plentiful. If you just need somewhere to lay your head down in the evening then it's great. Staff were great to us. Thanks
I stayed in Gauthier twice, The location is quite good, a walking distance to everything basically. The rooms are fine i just wish they had a bidet in the bathroom so that i don't have to take a shower everytime i take a "u know". The staff are very nice and friendly especially miss Anisa, the morning shift manager in the Patio and Mr. Zain Al Abidin at the bar.
I use to stay at Gautier twice a year it was always “ok” not great but Ok ! The area is nice and the patio is really nice. However for my last trip i arrived at the hotel after a 9h flight and found out that they rebook my room and book me another (crapy) hotel. The reception staff were not helpful not to say useless and on top of that absolutely not trying to help.
Very nice and clean hotel. This hotel is well kept and everything was very clean. The breakfast is the morning was very tasty as well. However, there was very loud music playing at the restaurant on the first floor through much of the night which we could hear very clearly in our room.
We couldn’t sleep for two out of three nights. There’s a nightclub, even on workdays, and guests party in their rooms after it closes. The staff was rude and didn’t care about it until we threatened to call the police. We requested a room on another floor that seemed quieter, but refysed and lied about being fully booked . We called Booking (2AM) and checked the availabilities - they had suites available. We don’t advise going here, as it is visited by people that come down to trash the place, slam doors, play loud music. The staff never got back to us with a solution and told Booking that guests should talk to them and not Booking. Red flag, to avoid intermediates. No sorry, no alternative room. The elevator also works very poorly and got us stuck various times due to the sensor sensitivities. There are much better, more comfortable places around. Unless you are coming to Casablanca for partying, avoid it. PS: we are young, flexible visitors and have never left a bad review on Booking. But this place is the most unwelcoming of entire Morocco.
