Only visited the rooftop for drinks and appetizers, but it was a fantastic experience. The views are beautiful, the atmosphere is inviting, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The cocktails were delicious, and the appetizers exceeded expectations. It is a great spot to unwind with friends and enjoy the scenery. If you visit on a Friday or Saturday, be sure to check out the piano bar downstairs. The hotel is charming, and I would definitely recommend stopping by.

Our stay at this hotel was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. Our room was absolutely beautiful, featuring a charming balcony adorned with stunning artwork that added so much character and warmth to the space. One of the highlights was the balcony view—it overlooked a lively, picturesque street filled with tourists, creating such a vibrant and enjoyable atmosphere. The location couldn’t have been better, with incredible street food and a variety of excellent restaurants just steps away. The hotel is also perfectly situated near Getsemani, a lively and colorful neighbourhood known for its famous Umbrella Street. It made exploring the area so easy and exciting. Everything about the hotel was immaculate—clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained. The staff were exceptional, always attentive, friendly, and eager to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. A special touch we truly appreciated was the breakfast they kindly prepared for us to take to the airport. To top it all off, we were treated to wonderful live music on Saturday evening, which made our experience even more memorable. I would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family, and I would absolutely love to stay here again on my next visit.

We had such a wonderful stay here! The hotel is absolutely beautiful, and the rooms are vibrant and full of color, which made the whole experience feel even more special. The rooftop is a highlight — it has a great chill vibe during the day, and in the evening it transforms with great music and an amazing atmosphere. What truly makes this place stand out, though, is the people. From reception to room service, and the team at the rooftop, everyone was incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming. Townhouse is hands down one of the coolest spots in Cartagena’s Old City. It’s not just a hotel; it’s a whole vibe. The rooms are beautifully designed with so much personality and attention to detail, but the real star of the show is the rooftop. The views over the domes of the city are breathtaking, and the atmosphere up there is perfect for enjoying a few cocktails while the sun goes down. The staff is incredibly welcoming and they really make you feel like you're part of the local scene rather than just another guest. If you’re looking for a place that is chic, fun, and perfectly located, this is it!

This hotel met every single one of my expectations upon arrival, however, as the days progressed it absolutely exceeded in every single way. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the historic part of Cartagena. • The Room: We stayed in the Penthouse, which boasts a private terrace. The room features two spacious, private bedrooms with their own bathrooms. A large living area and a lovely terrace with a private jacuzzi complete the suite. Also, each room and the living room had their own AC which allowed for different preferences. The facilities are modern and well-maintained. Everything in the room worked perfectly, and we were grateful for the daily water supply. A coffee machine and cups were also provided, which are small but appreciated touches. The bedding was comfortable, the towels were clean, and as a very picky traveller, I was thoroughly impressed with the overall cleanliness of the room. • The Breakfast: This hotel’s breakfast is anything but typical. We were treated to a full breakfast, including a cold and warm drink, a generous fruit platter, and a hearty main dish. It truly put North American hotels to shame. We enjoyed our breakfasts every morning on the rooftop, overlooking the stunning cityscape. • The Location: It is perfect if you’re like me and want to avoid public transport whenever possible. We only took a few cabs, primarily because of the heat and the distance to Bocagrande for the beaches. Even then, the hotel generously lent us towels, and the trip cost about $10,000 pesos each way! It’s incredibly affordable. Just do some research and negotiate your price upfront with the cab drivers, as there were no meters in the vehicles we used. My fiancé, parents, and I had an incredibly positive experience at this hotel. We had nothing negative to say about it. I’m still a day away from check-out, but I’ll definitely be returning whenever I’m back in Cartagena. Before you consider any hotel in the downtown core, keep in mind that there will be music occasionally a bit louder than others. This is common and should be expected, as it’s not something hotels in the area can control. So, have realistic expectations about the noise. Remember, although the country has a different culture to our Northern tipping culture, generosity goes a long way with the staff in my experience, remember to show your appreciation to the hard working people.
