Anandá Boutique Hotel is absolutely beautiful. The architecture is stunning, skillfully blending traditional colonial charm with modern design, creating an elegant and inviting atmosphere. Located within the walled city of Cartagena, my stay there was a true pleasure. The hotel features a lovely ground-floor pool and a rooftop jacuzzi—perfect for relaxing at sunset, especially considering how warm and humid the city can be. I stayed in the Junior Suite, which is one of the most spacious and well-equipped rooms in the hotel. It’s a two-level suite: the first floor includes a living area with a sofa, a desk (great for getting work done), and an additional bathroom. Upstairs, you’ll find a queen bed and a second bathroom, making the layout both comfortable and functional. A special shoutout to Ronald at the front desk—he was incredibly kind and always ready to assist with recommendations, answer questions about the city, or help arrange tours. Breakfast is included, which is a nice perk; however, if you have a big appetite, you might want to plan for an additional meal later on. I had a fantastic stay and would recommend it 100%!
We booked two rooms at the very last minute for myself and a colleague, without knowing anything about the hotel, and what a great surprise it turned out to be. Everything was excellent: the service, the facilities, the staff, and the rooms. The restaurant was fantastic, and the rooftop terrace with its pool, as well as the additional pool downstairs, is quite unique for a boutique hotel of this size. A special thank you to Kathleen, who kindly offered us the possibility to use the spa after check-in, when we returned from an excursion, allowing us to shower, change, and even enjoy a quick dip in the pool. Truly appreciated. Simply outstanding and highly recommended. And the location ? Perfect.
I’m so glad we picked this property! The vibe of the space is very chill. With one pool downstairs and one on the rooftop plus a few nice sitting areas, a bar and a restaurant. But despite the various spaces it all feels really cozy and welcoming. There are bikes you can borrow with no time restriction. This is a nice way to get a sense of the area surrounding you. Breakfast in the morning was included and really great - it had a nice variety. We weren’t being fed the same thing every single day from a buffet perspective. And while the menu was a little limited for breakfast, there was still a lot of options. And the kitchen staff were great if you had special requests. The rooms had a bit of a damp smell to them so let the cleaners come through each day. The building is old, but gorgeous, and so it’s pretty unavoidable. They do have dehumidifiers to help keep it dry. We had a few issues while we were staying with our room and then with the bikes, but the team was always readily available to help us out. So truly, no complaints. All in all we really enjoyed our stay. We would definitely recommend it. Great location, amazing staff and beautiful property located in the heart of Cartagena de Indias.
Charming boutique hotel right in the heart of the walled city. Breakfast was included and good, with lots of fresh fruit and yogurt parfaits. Bicycles included complimentary which was nice. Cool pools inside the walls and on top of the roof to chill at. Would recommend if you’d like to stay within the walled city!
The hotel was lovely, a great location just a short walk from everything we wanted. The one negative note was that as we checked out they charged us more than expected for laundry (100,000 COP for ~6 articles of clothing) and also had a random 90,000 COP fee that was never mentioned before. When we pushed back, they said it was optional and we didn’t have to pay it. It was a surprisingly scammy ending for what was otherwise a great stay.
