We just had cocktails on the roof this time. You have to pre book and pay a deposit which is deductible from your bill. The views are spectacular and cocktails very good. My husband had a chilli margarita and I had the signature gin cocktail. I would have given 5 but we were given a table on the open side so windy we could hardly hear each other. When I asked if we could move to the covered more Sherrie’s side I was told there were no tables. However, when I walked round to look myself there were two free tables not reserved and when I asked another member of staff, they said it was fine to sit there.. it took a little while to be served but when they did the staff were very friendly we did take lots of photos so I would definitely recommend this and if you can get in for a sundowner the sunsets must be spectacular. You do need to book a few days in advance though as slots from 5 pm get fully booked.

I didn't stay at this hotel. I only visited twice for lunch and dinner. The hotel is very beautiful esthetic wise. The art, decor and painting are all beautiful. The service is also great. The employees are accommodating and very friendly. Shout out to Eugene (front desk), Oswald (waiter) The Granary, and Admire and Emmanuel (rooftop). The food and drinks are so picturesque that you don't want to eat or drink them. They are also good taste wise as well. The views from the rooftop are beautiful and I caught one the prettiest sunsets while there. This will definitely be one of my go to spots. Be sure to make reservations 1st. They are very popular.

Today I visited this venue for their Royal High Tea to celebrate my birthday with friends. Our reservation was originally for 7 people, but unfortunately one guest became ill and was unable to attend. I informed the staff in advance and asked for the High Tea to be adjusted for 6 guests. Despite this, the table was still set for 7 people, and we were charged for the absent guest as well. I had already paid a deposit beforehand. My actual balance on the day was around R2,000, and I intended to leave a R200 tip, which I felt was appropriate considering the level of service provided. High Tea is not a service-intensive dining experience, and the waiter approached our table only three times throughout the entire event. What disappointed me most was the pressure regarding gratuity. The waiter insisted that the tip should be calculated based on the total amount including the deposit, bringing the bill to approximately R4,000. He repeatedly argued that I should leave R400 instead of R200 and put me in a very uncomfortable position. In the end, I felt pressured into leaving a larger tip than I had intended. This is completely unacceptable, especially at an establishment that presents itself as a premium venue. There were also several service issues throughout the experience. I had to ask three separate times for a vase for my birthday flowers before one was finally provided. In addition, all three tea varieties were poured and served at the same time. This was surprising, as I have attended many High Tea experiences before, and teas are normally served gradually so that each one can be enjoyed at the proper temperature. Instead, the experience felt rushed, as though guests were expected to drink their tea quickly and leave. Unfortunately, the food selection itself was also quite underwhelming. Having experienced High Tea at several other venues in Cape Town, I can confidently say there are places that offer significantly better food, service, and overall hospitality. Sadly, I would not recommend the High Tea experience at this venue.

Let me tell you! The service here was impeccable. They took such good care of us. Classics were on point. Taking my coat and bringing it when I leave. The food was amazing, timing of pouring drinks etc but over and above all they made me feel like I’m visiting a home and I’m welcome. I really loved the service. Be it lunch or a stay over please come here!!!!! The view? Insane panoramic view of Table Mountain, Lions head and Waterfront??? What?

We celebrated our 15 Year wedding anniversary at The Silo & were spoilt beyond belief. The staff are all incredible, so warm & friendly. We had such a fantastic experience. From our roof top cocktails & I reckon the best views of the Cape ,to our romantic dinner at Granary ❤️ I’d recommend it to anyone looking for an absolute spoil for a special occasion.
