I absolutely loved my stay at Never@Home Green Point. What was meant to be a short stay turned into nearly 9 days because I enjoyed it so much. The hostel is in a fantastic location, close to everything, with a great atmosphere and excellent facilities. The rooms were always clean, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and the kitchen was well-equipped and easy to use. What really made the experience special was the staff. Everyone was welcoming, friendly, and always happy to help. A special mention to Jason and Taona, who went above and beyond to make guests feel at home. They were always smiling, helpful, and genuinely cared that everyone had a great experience. The hostel also organised brilliant tours and activities, which made it easy to explore Cape Town and meet other travellers. I've stayed in a lot of hostels over the years, and this is definitely one of the best. I'll be recommending Never@Home to anyone visiting Cape Town and would happily stay here again. Thanks for an unforgettable trip! 🇿🇦🙏😊
I stayed at Never@Home Green Point for 4 nights and had an amazing time! The vibes are super chill and social — it’s really easy to meet people from all over, whether you're hanging out in the common areas or chatting at reception. A huge shoutout to Luyolo, who was incredibly helpful and always present at the front desk. He made my stay smoother with his friendly attitude and willingness to assist everyone. His energy really stands out! There was another staff member (I didn’t catch his name) who was also friendly, but a bit too touchy for my comfort. I think a little more professionalism and focus on duties would improve the experience. The hostel itself is clean, well-organized, and has a great atmosphere. However, I do have one concern: the entry codes (4747 for the main door and 4848# for upper floors) are too widely known and don’t change often. This makes it easy for outsiders to sneak in, especially at night when staff rotations mean no one remembers who checked in. Unfortunately, this has led to incidents like non-guests using the communal washrooms and leaving a mess. I strongly recommend updating the access system to prevent this. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend Never@Home for its vibe, cleanliness, and standout staff like Luyolo. Just a few tweaks and it would be a perfect 5-star experience!
This is our third time staying at Never@Home and it has always been and still is one AMAZING place to stay. The people are great, the rooms are cozy and the food is delicious. If you are considering staying here when you are in Cape Town, you will not be disappointed. Thank you Never@Home team you guys rock.
I stayed here in December/January and LOVED it! It was in a nice walkable location that felt safe- lots of police and safety officer presence. The hostel organized tours are such a nice touch and a great way to experience the area and also meet people in the hostel. It was a great place to stay and I would definitely stay here again and again.
The hostel itself is nice. What’s actually extremely terrible are the bunk beds. Those are the cheapest and worst bunk beds I ever had. They provide no privacy and are extremely loud as they move around and are not in any way integrated in the wall or something. They use those temporary standing beds that almost no other hostel is using anymore. Super uncomfortable if you are on the top bunk. You can’t even be quit opening the locker even if you try.
