Cool spot for EDM music in Cape Town. I went on Thursday night, and it only got busy after about 1am, and only the one main dance floor was open. I guess there are other levels open on the weekends. Locals were nice, drinks were cheap, and music was really good. If you're trying to Uber after 2am, might need to order an Uber Black.
Used to love this club. I went on first Thursday and the smell was horrendous (urine and stool) They clearly keep the place only in good condition when there are foreigners/tourists. aka summer. This is really not a good look to pay R200 for entry.
Thomas, the bouncer, made sure we had an uber/someone to fetch us and made sure we got into our uber before letting us out the gate. Thank you Modular for having staff that care about our safety and wellbeing. Its a great aspect of this club. Unfortunately the surroundings of the club were dirty and littered.
Had a great night out at Modular last night – as always, such a good vibe and an all-round good time. I thought I had lost my phone, but the team was incredibly helpful and professional. They have a proper lost-and-found system, and the manager went out of their way to help me get my phone back. Really appreciate the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. Modular is always a good time – will definitely be back!
“The best place in Cape Town!” was my original review. I came into modular on Thursday and got a sticker on my camera then used my phone to pay for entrance. I walked inside and immediately realised I didn’t have my phone. It’s possible that I dropped it, or also possible that I was pick pocketed. When I went outside and we asked the bouncers, once bouncer said “is this your phone?” I said it was and then he made me write a good review on google to get it back. I am not sure if there were any ill intentions but has something similar happened to anyone else?
