Overall we enjoyed the museum, however we weren't made aware of the construction beforehand and that a lot of displays were closed to viewing. The fun areas in our opinion. They do offer free entry to 1 of 4 other Iziko museums to make up for it. They do still have certain things on display and each floor was a different area but of course it won't be the same as when they are properly displayed. We still spent over an hour walking around and enjoying what was open, and watching the show in the digital dome! Definitely recommend for the whole family but wait until the construction is done.
We met a friend here for a coffee and a light bite. Very tasty sandwich. Good coffee and pleasant surroundings. The museum has some interesting exhibitions, particularly enjoyed the rock art. And if you like big fish that's interesting too.
This place is amazing! Whether you are into dinosaurs, rock art, sharks or mammals, you will find it here. Very well explained, even funny at times (I especially enjoyed the step-by-step guide to becoming a fossil).
The museum is a truly remarkable visit. With beautiful exhibitions, interactive elements for all ages as well as a variety of showcases. I was so impressed with how clean the environment is and how welcoming the staff are. This will be a place we go back to visit again! Absolutely beautiful.
My experience was fantastic and interesting. The museum is very good, several different sectors, all beautiful and clean. The ticket was cheap, compared to experience. I recomended this place in Cape Town.
