I recently visited this restaurant after its renovation, and I was really impressed! The place looks modern, clean, and welcoming. The new management and staff are friendly, professional, and provide excellent service. The food was fresh, delicious, and well presented. The atmosphere is perfect for families and friends to enjoy a meal together. It’s great to see the improvements and attention to detail. Highly recommended, and I will definitely be coming back!

Biesmiellah in BoKaap is worth visiting as it lies in a cultural centre of Cape Town. You have to explore a bit to find it, but if you’re looking for traditional food at a good price, they may have hit the correct formula. The place is pretty big inside and arranged mainly for group seating and, one must admit, a bit on the sterile side. The food is good, traditional Cape Malay and served in generous portions. Service was a bit on the anonymous side, but it was pretty late already when we visited, so perhaps the end of a long and tiring shift. The bathrooms were neat and clean and easily available.

I was looking for authentic Cape Malay food and I found it here. I went around noon and there were few people there so I was sat immediately. The food came out within 10 minutes of me ordering it. The food was delicious, nice sized portions, and beautifully presened. It was a very hot day and there wasn't any air conditioning, however it was definitely cooler in the restaurant than outside. The DM Mtiaz is super friendly and greeted every customer.
