This was my first time at a hostel-type resort, and it not disappoint!!! The price was very reasonable, and the ammenities and breakfast options were excellent. The environment is very upbeat and relaxed, and the location is very close to many malls and clubs. The rooms were good too. There were a few water leaks here and there and the sleeping quarters can be a bit warm, making it hard to sleep at first if you're not used to hot weather. But everything else about the rooms was clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and went above and beyond for all questions and problems I had. Special shout out to Melisa, Dani, Miguel, Liz, and Stephania who made sure all my needs and concerns were met and heard! Will definitely come back with the full squad!
Although it was only for one night before we flew back home, we had a wonderful stay. The hostel is very centrally located, and the private room was spacious, clean, and equipped with everything we needed. The bed was wonderfully soft, and the pillows were great! The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. Our flight was later in the day, but we were able to leave our luggage at reception. Before heading to the airport, we could still enjoy a shower and make use of the common areas. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We would absolutely recommend this hostel!
I really enjoyed my stay at Maya Monkey Cancún. The location is excellent, right in the Hotel Zone, close to the beach, restaurants, bars, and public transportation. It’s super convenient for exploring Cancún. The hostel has a very fun, social atmosphere, perfect if you’re traveling solo and want to meet people, but it still feels organized and comfortable. The common areas are great, the staff is friendly and welcoming, and everything was clean during my stay. Overall, it’s a great place to stay in Cancún if you’re looking for good vibes, a central location, and an easy way to connect with other travelers. I would definitely stay here again.
We stayed here last October as a couple and stayed in 8-bed dorm. It was actually nice and cozy, and the showers were clean (water pressure wasn’t the strongest, but totally manageable). We understand it’s a party hostel with a bar, but we were a bit surprised that loud music started as early as 9–10 AM. Softer music in the morning might create a more relaxed vibe to start the day. The kitchen is small, but it’s alright and functional. The location is excellent — walking distance to the beach, grocery stores, and public transportation. Overall, it was a great stay.
I didn’t stay overnight at Mayan Monkey Cancun, but I visited some friends who were guests there—and I still got a great impression of the place. We spent time at the bar, and the service was absolutely outstanding. The staff took great care of us from the moment we arrived—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Even as visitors and not official guests, we felt completely included and well looked after. The atmosphere was lively and fun, with a social vibe that makes it easy to relax and enjoy the experience. Based on this visit alone, I would definitely consider staying here in the future. Highly recommended for the excellent service and great energy!
