Fish dishes, seafood tacos & drinks rustled up in a relaxed, thatched-roof setting with beach views.via Google

A casual, beach-adjacent stop where the point is fresh fish, not formality. It is the kind of place that makes sense after a day in the sun.

Signature
Fried fish and ceviche

El Fish Fritanga was one of the highlights of my trip to Cancún. The atmosphere is incredible relaxed, vibrant, and full of positive energy. The restaurant’s location offers beautiful views that make the entire dining experience even more enjoyable, especially during the evening. What truly made the visit stand out was the exceptional hospitality. Gabriel went above and beyond to make us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. His friendly attitude, attention to detail, and genuine care for guests created a memorable experience. I would also like to recognize Julián, one of the supervisors, for his outstanding service and professionalism. He ensured everything ran smoothly, checked in on guests regularly, and made sure we were well taken care of throughout our visit. Great food, amazing views, excellent service, and a fantastic atmosphere. I highly recommend El Fish Fritanga to anyone visiting Cancún and looking for an authentic dining experience with top-notch hospitality.

The food was delicious! The Star of the show for us was the aguachile but it goes without saying that everything was delicious. The pulpo fritanga was delicious but a little spicy. We had the pulpo cooked with the sauce. For anyone wanting to try this but are worried about the heat, the waiter said the sauce can be ordered on the side. The dining space is outdoors and looks out onto the lagoon, very beautiful especially later in the day when it’s close to sunset.

We had a lovely dinner at El Fish with my wife, and it was a great experience. The ambiance was calm and romantic, perfect for a relaxed evening. The seafood was fresh and well prepared, and the flavors were excellent. The service was attentive without being intrusive, which made the dinner even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a memorable dining experience and a great place for a special evening.

A great experience here! From the front you really can’t tell there is much of a restaurant at all, but below is a beautiful lagoon-front restaurant. The food (especially calamari and shrimp tacos) were excellent. Portions were generous. They even treated us to a slice of cake because we were celebrating our engagement. Tremendous service from Benavides.

We’ve been coming to Cancún for my son’s birthday the last four years, and this place hit the spot. Total comfort food—we liked it so much we came back the next day. Drinks are super reasonably priced compared to other spots, and they don’t skimp—they’re doubles. Best part? They’ve got an air-conditioned kids playroom, so you can actually enjoy half your meal in peace. Huge win for everyone
