Beware of your valuable belongings when staying at this so called 5* hotel. I left my gold ring on the night desk and when I came back from breakfast, it vanished. I stayed in many accommodations across the world (including cheap places) and this is the first time I got my stuff stolen. I’m very sad because that ring has sentimental value. The staff didn’t seem much bothered about it. Overall service was bad. The guys at breakfast were as welcoming as prison doors, unless you are American. I definitely don’t recommend this mediocre hotel
We held our engagement dinner at their beautiful garden, I have to say , one of the best experiences in customer service I have received in Egypt ! The whole staff is very friendly , professional and eager to help . I had some reservations since I read some reviews about the food and some saying service people are rude, but I have to say that was not our experience in the many visits we had leading up to the engagement. Food is spectacular , portion is huge , presentation is great and the coffee was worth a million dollars. A wholesome experience and it felt like we were at home . Everyone was more than amazing but , a special thank you for Mr Ibrahim who made us feel welcomed from the first phone inquiry to the minute we stepped out the property , thank you for having the patience to answer all of my questions 🌸
Review of the open air restaurant at Belle époque: We went today—my friend, her daughter, and I—to the restaurant where we usually enjoy a fair good food, but unfortunately our experience this time was disappointing. We arrived at 8:45 AM, and although the place was completely empty, the staff were not ready to receive us; they spent time cleaning the table and sweeping around us before we could sit. The dishes arrived late, and when they finally came, my friend’s egg dish was cold, and the toast was not fresh, so she had to ask for it to be reheated or replaced. As for me, I chose to eat my dish despite its poor quality, because my friend had already requested a replacement and I did not want to escalate the situation. Unfortunately, the French toast was not up to its usual standard; it was greasy and burnt around the edges, to the point that it upset my stomach for the rest of the day. We also faced an uncomfortable situation regarding seating. When I called the restaurant earlier in the morning to reserve, I was told the place was empty and that we could come anytime. However, upon arrival, when we asked to sit by the pool, we were told that the tables were reserved. This surprised us since the entire area was empty. The waiter pointed to the long table by the pool and said it was all reserved. We accepted this and sat where they asked, but about half an hour later we saw them separating the long table into individual tables—yet all the tables around the pool remained empty until we left at 12:30 PM. What made things worse was the unreasonable explanation the waiter gave us. He said that to sit at the poolside tables, one must book two weeks in advance and pay a deposit, which is completely illogical. We are experienced travelers—experts in tourism, food& beverages management. We are not naive who can be convinced with unrealistic excuses. We would have preferred to hear the real reason, which we are sure would have been more credible than what we were told. As for the food quality that morning, it was far below the standard we are accustomed to, which led us to conclude that the cook or chef responsible for breakfast was not present. Even though the staff informed me on the phone that breakfast is served from 8 AM to 12 PM, the poor preparation and overall quality made it clear that the specialist in charge of breakfast was not there. In short, it was a very disappointing experience compared to what we usually expect from this place, and we truly hope that food quality, organization, and transparency with customers will be improved. To be fair, the staff were friendly and polite, but unfortunately not professional at all in handling the situation or communicating clearly. A last point, they charged 12% service and 14% taxes without giving us any receipt, which is against the law, as taxes cannot be added without issuing an official invoice. Overall, the experience was disappointing. We hope the management reviews food quality, organization, and transparency with customers. I don't recommend this place and will choose new high quality restaurants next time.
An unbelievable experience. Straight out of an Agatha Christie novel. An oasis of refined and subtle calm in the madness of Cairo. The food was delicious but the breakfast was the charm.
This place can be described as an authentic place that still preserved by a time machine As a Maadian, I won’t stop to propose it to new ppl outsiders and every time they are fascinated with it. The food is insane.. From taste, display, quality , different menu .. everything 😍 Sea food plates are soo good .. prawn linguine pasta my favorite.. shrimp brioche was so chic and tasty.. always chicken almond is different plate at their menu The seatings and the ambience is so romantic, chic and quite Kids are welcomed but not babies and can be suitable for family gatherings too This villa more for adults and special occasions I hadn’t tried the rooms but definitely it will be great as same as the restaurant The whole staff are so decent and respectful 🙏🏼 I recommend to reserve before you go. Anyways .. it is Always a gateway place ♥️
