We had a reservation at Rosenstein Vendéglő in Budapest on a Wednesday at 5 PM — and the restaurant was already fully booked, which says a lot. Definitely make a reservation before coming. Once again, we decided to explore traditional Hungarian cuisine, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. For starters, we had bone marrow and goulash — both rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The bone marrow was especially memorable, deep and indulgent, while the goulash was classic and comforting. For the main course, we chose wild boar with red wine, and it was outstanding. The meat was tender, well-balanced, and beautifully complemented by the sauce. The overall experience was truly impressive. The service was professional and attentive, with staff who clearly know both the menu and how to create a great dining experience. The interior of the restaurant adds to the atmosphere — warm, elegant, and inviting without feeling overly formal. What stood out most was the consistency: every dish felt carefully prepared, and the quality was evident throughout the meal. It’s the kind of place where you can really feel the tradition behind the food, but presented with confidence and skill. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience authentic Hungarian cuisine at a high level.

A Masterclass in Hospitality – The Highlight of My Trip! My visit to Rosenstein was, without a doubt, the best dining experience I have ever had. From the moment I stepped inside, the level of service was breathtaking. The coordination of the staff is like a perfectly conducted orchestra: one waiter immediately led me to a beautiful table with pristine white tablecloths, another helped me with my coat, a third presented the menu, and a fourth served fresh water. The attention to detail is truly "next level." A standout moment for me was when I started to squeeze a slice of lemon into my water. Before I could even look up, a waiter was already there, presenting me with a small glass of freshly squeezed lemon juice! I was speechless. Every dish is a true masterpiece, prepared with soul and served on sparkling tableware. The entire team goes above and beyond to ensure every guest feels happy and cared for. I will definitely return to Budapest just for this incredible taste and service! Huge thanks to all the waiters who took such great care of me and made my stay in Budapest truly unforgettable. Wow! Simply elite.

The food here was super good. Especially the duck breast and veal cheek (both recommended by the excellent waiter). Looked at Google reviews for what to eat but honestly, the waiter’s recommendations were much better. The service there was next level because they help to put your coat away in a different room, advise on food choices (and whether its too much), and pay attention to all your needs. This was definitely not just a simple restaurant. Nothing much else to say, this place is a must visit.

The food was good but nothing outstanding. Portions are decent with good presentation. The chicken was a bit overcooked for my dish. Price is on the higher end. Service was friendly.

The food didn't taste so fantastic for us but it might just be what we ordered. The potato croquettes was very good though. I also liked the desserts. The reservation list was a bit of a mess but might be due to the language barrier. The service could be better but wasn't bad. The place is clean and cozy.
