It’s popular Langos place in Central Budapest. You order the food at the counter and drinks at the bar and waiters bring your order later to your table. The choice of Langos is quite extensive. I asked the staff for popular and good one to get and they recommended Hungarian or Rustic, I chose the Rustic. It was good, the only thing that I can say is that sausages were a bit overcooked for my taste. Prices are pretty good, as they start from 3500 ft and goes up to 5990 ft. Mine was 4300 ft. So my whole lunch was around 5250 ft (less than 15 eur). I would definitely recommend this place if you want to taste Langos.
We were looking for a good lángos spot in Budapest and ended up trying Retro Lángos Budapest. Honestly, this ended up being our favorite one. They have a nice outdoor seating area where you can just chill and eat without it being super loud or crowded. The staff were also really friendly and spoke great English, which made things easy for us tourists. The best part though was definitely the lángos. We spent like 3 days trying different lángos places around Budapest, and this one was the best for us by far. The texture was perfect and they have this sauce that goes insanely well with it. It’s also close to the Danube River and Parliament, so it’s an easy stop if you’re exploring the city. Didn’t feel like a tourist trap at all, just really good food. Definitely worth trying if you’re in Budapest.
If you are visiting Budapest, you absolutely have to try Retro Lángos! They serve some of the best traditional Hungarian lángos in the city. The dough is perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with generous toppings like sour cream and garlic. The outdoor seating area has a great vibe, though it can get quite busy during peak hours. Well worth the visit!
Staff super responsive, and kind. The langos was perfect super tasty. They don't charge extra for the service, witch is kinda nice and normal, not like most restaurants in the city. Paid 8k for 2 langos and 1 sparkling water.
It is definitely way better Langos than the ones I had but it was just for the sake of trying as Langos is not really my type of food. Price to portion ratio was alright and service was great! Love the atmosphere and the design of the place. Would recommend people to at least try it once when they are visiting Budapest!
