On our last evening in Budapest, we had dinner at Mazel Tov. We were not disappointed. We truly had a wonderful evening and enjoyed it to the fullest. Atmosphere: A very open, cosy, and natural atmosphere. You feel close to nature while still being indoors. Service: In one word: fantastic. The waitress showed genuine interest and dedication, always with a smile. Food: The food was very flavourful and clearly prepared with passion and care. We also have to mention the cocktails — they were excellent. Price: We were pleasantly surprised. Compared to the other restaurants we visited, the prices were more reasonable. We wish we had visited Mazel Tov multiple times during our trip to Budapest. We think that says enough.

The best meal we had in Budapest. Our server was Petér, who was incredibly attentive and fun. By far the most friendly service we’ve had in Hungary. For starters we had the crispy artichoke, labne, and goose bacon. For mains we shared the TLV mix plate and pastrami bagel. Everything was a 10/10 and the cocktails were a 12/10. Such a fun atmosphere and we can’t wait to come back!

Having traveled to four cities in Europe on our vacation, I will say this is our favorite. The service was great and very friendly. Our waiter, Kristian was very nice. They had amazing drinks. My wife loved her Mazel Tov drink and the gin basil smash was great. We shared the dinner for two which had a little of everything and it was great! If you're in Budapest, you have to eat here.

Overrated restaurant - average food, medium service. Feels like tourist cash-cow. The food is average. The labneh was ok. The signature beef platter for 2 is more sausage than beef. Chicken is good and tender. The rest of the proteins rather okish, a bit too dry and not so tasty. Also the sausage couldn’t be changed to something different. The fennel salad was good. The weak point: Service! No waiter is really smiling in the restaurant. The tables are sticky. Waiters take their time, even if the restaurant is only 50% full. Seems like they are not trained properly and don’t have fun working. I am also missing more veggies on the Menu. Overall it seems that the restaurant is a cashcow machine but lacks quality, vision and soul. And better service!

I had a great experience at this restaurant and really enjoyed my visit. The atmosphere was very pleasant and made you feel welcome right away. The food was excellent – full of flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. I especially want to highlight the bread and spreads: incredibly fresh, perfectly seasoned, and an ideal start to the meal. Honestly, they were a highlight on their own. Overall, a restaurant I can highly recommend. I will definitely be coming back.
