You can’t visit Budapest without seeing the Országház – not only is it impossible to miss sat on the bank of the Danube, but it’s a beautiful building, often called one of the most beautiful in Europe. Although we didn’t go inside during our trip to Budapest, we did admire the building and its stunning architecture from every aspect we could. It’s a lovely sight no matter where you are, be it close up or on the other side of the river. It’s extra special when the sun has gone down too, as it’s illuminated perfectly to highlight its architecture until 11pm when the lights are switched off. To make the most of it a night, I would wholly recommend a river cruise for the best view. With its amazing appearance and its dominate position on the riverbank, it’s impossible to walk around Budapest without stopping to take it in from different vistas.

Visiting the Hungarian Parliament Building was an absolutely breathtaking experience and one of the most impressive landmarks I have ever seen. The architecture is extraordinary. The Neo Gothic design, massive domes, intricate details, and elegant symmetry make the building look like a true masterpiece rising along the Danube River. During the day, the Parliament looks majestic, but at night when it is illuminated, it becomes absolutely magical and one of the most spectacular views in Budapest. Inside, the grand staircases, luxurious halls, chandeliers, and historical atmosphere create a sense of elegance and national pride that is truly unforgettable. What impressed me most was the combination of architectural beauty, history, and engineering magnificence all in one place. Overall, a must visit destination in Budapest iconic, majestic, and absolutely unforgettable.”

Inspired in part by the UK Houses of Parliament, the Hungarian Parliament Building is a spectacular Gothic Revival landmark that is every bit as impressive inside as it is from the outside. Whether viewed from land or from the Danube, the building looks magnificent and powerful. Inside, it is simply stunning: vast amounts of gold decoration, intricate carvings, grand staircases, impressive halls and the Hungarian Holy Crown and Coronation Regalia all help make it feel like a truly must-see location in Budapest. Entry is by tour only, with an earpiece/audio guide explaining the history and significance of the building while a physical guide keeps the group moving through the route. Security is present throughout to prevent visitors wandering too far, and the honour guard and subtle pageantry add nicely to the sense of importance. There is little else to say other than this: if the photographs do not convince you to visit, hopefully my words will. An outstanding building and an essential stop while in Budapest.

45 minutes visit, book in advance online or wait in line at 8 AM to catch a ticket. The visit is short but interesting, the building is a jewell very well kept, it deserves your attention. The rotunda is particularly impressive with the crown in the middle and the kings statues hovering over it.

In my opinion, this house is the most beautiful and definitely worth seeing in Budapest. If this house is already amazing during the day, then at night it is simply perfect. In the meantime, I thought it was a dream because such a big house with SUCH beautiful architecture didn't seem real. I definitely recommend taking pictures of it from a river cruise too! This is definitely one of the most beautiful houses in Europe that I have ever seen! You definitely have to go see it during your trip, because this house is simply unreal! I definitely recommend it!
