⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Without a doubt!!!! The best food we had in Budapest! The goulash was absolutely amazing, flavorful, and perfect. Honestly, I would say this is one of the best restaurants I've visited in Europe, fr 😉 The quality of the food, the atmosphere, and the overall experience were outstanding. A special thank you to Mark, who provided exceptional service. He was friendly and made us feel very welcome throughout the evening. Ps: I highly recommend making a reservation, as this place is definitely worth visiting and can get quite busy. Highly recommended! 🇭🇺✨
I visited Gettó Gulyás for a late lunch and immediately liked the feel of the place. It has a very local atmosphere, with a menu brimming with Hungarian dishes and traditional specialities rather than anything toned down for tourists. To start, I had the tartare, which was excellent. Easily top five tartares I’ve had over the years. Well seasoned, properly balanced, and clearly made with care. For mains, I chose the venison stew with bread dumplings. It was hearty, rich, and undeniably heavy, but in the best possible way. With the cold weather outside, it was exactly what you would want. Comforting, warming, and full of depth. Service was friendly and efficient throughout. There was a short wait, but the restaurant was fully booked all day, so that was entirely understandable. A bread basket was brought over while we waited, which was a nice touch. To drink, I had a homemade strawberry lemonade, which was refreshing and well made, a great contrast to the richness of the food. If you are looking for authentic, tasty, and wholesome Hungarian food in a genuinely local setting, this is absolutely a must visit spot in Budapest.
10 out of 10 Food is absolutely amazing. Had pork knuckle goulash, which was very flavorful and tender. Desert, curd cheese dumplings was also so good and house iced tea very refreshing. Goulash soup that had the other day was also very tasty. One of the best places to experience authentic Hungarian food and its best to book in advance as it gets very busy. Thank you Getto Gulyas for this great experience 👌🤌
The foods are delicious, but only goulash soup was quite salty.. the rest taste amazing.. the price is affordable too, nice place.. reservation is a must. But if you can’t get it, better wait 10-15 minutes before they open the restaurant (that’s the tips) because after that, they will be priorities the people who do the reservation
My boyfriend and I spontaneously decided to go to this restaurant, we didn’t book it in advance. Luis was so exceptional at his job and treated us very well as clients. Thank you Luis! It was our first time trying Hungarian cuisine and we loved it, food was great. Prices were also very good considering how much we ate and drank.
