The service is exceptional. The meal itself was well thought out and showcased a lot of Hungarian personality. It was good, but nothing spectacular. For the pride and value, I wouldn't go back, nor would I recommend it to others.

The moment we stepped in to Babel we were greeted by Robbie, a charming host who made us feel right at home. The restaurant is located just off the Piarista Kos Passageway in the heart of Budapest (District V). The ambience was just right with lovely soft mood lighting, beautiful interior decorations with well spaced tables and gentle music in the background amongst the chatter of guests. Throughout the whole experience we were able to speak with most of the staff on the floor who were all very polite, attentive and easy to talk, including János, their excellent sommelier as well as the Sous chef. Each dish was presented with great care, attention to detail and was accompanied by a wonderful explanation. Everything tasted amazing and was bursting with flavour using both local and regional ingredients - absolute Michelin star quality. We have to make a special shoutout to the Casino Egg, which is an additional item on the 8 course menu that we had, but absolutely worth it. Wow - an incredibly decadent dish! We can't remember all of the names of the staff members but want to thank them all for such an unforgettable experience. A special thanks to János who we spoke with for some time. He suggested a beautiful bottle of white wine from the Tokaj region, gave us several recommendations for places to visit in Budapest and surprised us with a personal tour of the cellar! We can't recommend this place enough. Babel will not disappoint and we can't wait to visit again. Thank you!

From the moment we walked in, it was clear that this Michelin-starred restaurant offers something truly special. The interior is elegant yet welcoming, creating a refined atmosphere without ever feeling pretentious. Soft lighting and thoughtful décor contribute to a warm and inviting ambiance that immediately sets the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. The dishes were nothing short of exceptional. Each plate showcased remarkable craftsmanship, with flavors that were both delicate and deeply satisfying. Every course felt carefully curated, balancing creativity with respect for the ingredients. The presentation was beautiful, and the taste exceeded every expectation, truly amazing og tasteful dishes in every sense. Equally impressive was the premium vine drink pairing. The selections complemented each dish perfectly, enhancing the flavors without overwhelming them. The sommelier demonstrated impeccable knowledge, and each pairing felt intentional and well-considered, elevating the entire meal. Overall, this restaurant delivers on every level: atmosphere, cuisine, and drinks. A memorable experience worthy of its Michelin star, and one I would eagerly recommend to anyone seeking an extraordinary dining experience.

An absolutely must if you love food, exclusive service and the feeling of being at home at the same time, great hospitality. We also love the wine paring, great wine from all of Hungary. Even some of the ingredients are from there own farm, pretty cool I think.

Fantastic restaurant. We really enjoyed our experience at Babel. The service was excellent and very professional. We enjoyed every course of the menu (especially the consommé, the egg, the salmon and the meal) with many inspiration from Hungarian traditional food. The dessert was good but a little bit behind for us. The restaurant is very well decorated (nice fire place!) and the restrooms are well hidden and amazing (go there!) 😂. To summarize great restaurant! Thanks to the entire team!!
