Popped in after work and enjoyed a great live set from some of Bostons best & most talented budding musicians Drink prices were reasonably, the selection was good and the service was great. Authentic, professional but personable. Can’t wait to stop in another night!

If I could give ZERO stars to this establishment, I would. I should have done my research and read the reviews thoroughly before bringing my group here. A wealth of prior reviews clearly indicates that the bartender (Wally?) is extremely racist, particularly to customers of Asian backgrounds. Unfortunately, in the 30 minutes that my group (3 of us are Asian) was there, we were treated very poorly by the bartender and clearly discriminated against. He repeatedly targeted one of my Asian friends, including not taking drink orders from him (but did from everyone else including others in our group) and telling him that he needed to relax/“calm down” when he was just dancing to the incredible jazz music being played by the Berkeley students. He also told our other Asian friend that he could not give her wine because there were no wine glasses left, and then shortly thereafter we saw a white woman receive a glass of red wine. In addition, the drinks were expensive (which is the norm for Boston) and frankly terrible. All of this was a shame, as the students playing that night were fantastic and obviously talented. We would have loved to stay longer to enjoy the music, but the racist and rude treatment we received became intolerable so we had to leave. Given the amount of other reviews describing similar experiences, I am appalled that nothing has been done about this bartender’s behavior. Expecting that nothing will change, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND AVOIDING this establishment.

Great cafe with wonderful jazz music. The place is quite small with limited table and chairs, but you can still notice the entrance sign on top of the door. The barista is so kind and friendly. You have to remember to bring your ID when you come to this place, otherwise you have to go back home huhuhu There are only beverages, so make sure you have eaten before coming here. Really love the music and performance during my visit. The place is clean, and there are restrooms. I ordered 2 bottles of coors light at $18 (before the tip). Would love to come back to this place.

I stopped by on a Sunday night at 10:00 for a nightcap and a little bit of jazz. I was surprised to walk in the door to a fully packed room. This club was recommended by a friend and I'm glad I made this extra stop after dinner on my way back to my hotel. It is much smaller than the jazz clubs in NYC that I'm used to, but the vibe was great and the band playing on a Sunday night has some funk in their jazz. It was a good visit and I recommend checking it out while in Boston.

I'd give this place 10 stars if I could. Visited for the first time, and the music was so soulful (something you don't get much in that part of town), and the bartender treated us really well. It's definitely going on the "our Cambridge spots" list.
