First of all I would like to state that the service is incredible. Our waiter was extremely kind and helped me a bunch whenever it came to choosing specific dishes, everyone is very insightful about things and love to help out. Now for the food, the food was great! My favorite thing was the sushi roll and chow fun noodles! The flavors were incredible and by the end of the dinner I felt great and full. I also have had the tasting menu before and I can say it completely worth it! The menu changes seasonally and some times every month so you get to try something new and delicious each time you come back!
Everything we ordered was soo good. I don’t usually try the more unique sushi dishes but I’m glad I did because they were all delicious! Great atmosphere, super friendly staff, and easily the best sushi restaurant in town.
Mmmmm. This was a great place to splurge and celebrate! Loved the avocado and salmon sushi rolls and the waiter chose three delicious small plate choices for us. Manny choices for gluten free desserts - we loved the strawberry ice cream and the rice pudding. The whole staff was super attentive about gluten and I felt safe eating here and didn't have any reaction. Highly recommended, even for those who are indifferent about sushi in general, like me.
absolutely amazing. i think this may be my favorite restaurant. the spicy tuna & food gras tataki is probably the best dish i’ve ever had. it was a perfect combination of every flavor, texture and temperature. both maki’s were also delicious and the pork ribs were so tender and flavorful; they were falling off the bone. duck confit gyoza and wagyu beef dumplings were also great. we had great service from kevin o! we really enjoyed having him as a server.
Overall a solid experience, but with some noticeable drawbacks. Service was good and attentive, and the food was generally tasty. We ordered à la carte instead of the tasting menu, and the sashimi was fresh and enjoyable. However, the seating was a bit disappointing. While the ground floor looked spacious and more refined, we were seated in the basement level, which felt like a downgrade—tighter, older, and lacking the same ambiance—despite paying the same price as the main dining area. There were also a few details that didn’t meet expectations at this price point (~$170 per person). They didn’t use fresh wasabi, and the miso soup was inconsistent—we ordered two, and one tasted like plain water with barely any miso. Overall, good food and service, but for the price, we expected a more polished and consistent dining experience.
