First of all, the only reason I said the rooms were 4 stars is because I wanted to be sure and highlight the service as 5 stars. Rooms were fine. Nothing fancy, but comfortable and clean with plenty of space. The people were the secret ingredient here. They could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Parking was easy self-parking (though watch the height if you have a taller vehicle or a roof rack!). Breakfast was good enough. Coffee, pastries, waffles...the usual. They also have a really nice outside space for dining and happy hour. And it's across the street from a nice park that sits on the Charles River. My new go-to place to stay in Boston.

I had a really enjoyable stay at Studio Allston Hotel! One of the standout features is definitely the decor—each room has its own unique, artistic vibe, which makes the experience feel fun and different from your typical hotel stay. The rooms were comfortable, and I appreciated the plenty of parking and the complimentary breakfast, which was a nice bonus. The property also has a great outdoor beer garden/restaurant area, which adds to the overall experience and gives it a lively atmosphere. The hotel itself is starting to show its age in some areas and could use a bit of refreshing, but it didn’t take away from the stay. One thing to note is that there isn’t much security when it comes to accessing the rooms. The only real issue I had was the temperature—it stayed pretty warm (around 70°), which was a bit much for me. Thankfully, the windows open, which helped a lot. Overall, for the price, this is a great place to stay if you’re looking for something a little more creative and different with a relaxed vibe. I’d definitely consider staying here again

Got a studio suite here while in town for a concert. The issue around Boston seems like parking. This hotel you do not need to worry about it. Self parking on site. The only issue about the room was the temperature, 77F at check in. Thankfully the windows opened and allowed the cooler Boston air in. We woke up in the morning at a lovely 68F. Breakfast was good, typical hotel breakfast. The bar was cool with the pour your own beer, prices were reasonable for being in a hotel and city. Would stay here again. Great value.

We loved the artsy vibe and quirkiness of the rooms. The staff was great, very knowledgeable and helpful, Especially Jonathan and Jessica. The restaurant had great food for dinner and the breakfast was everything we needed. Would definitely come back again and recommend others

We used to LOVE this place, stayed here a few times. But this was the SECOND time we've had to move rooms for maintenance issues. This time the sink was slow to drain. The "engineer" spend over an HOUR, LOUDLY snaking it. It was late and I wanted to rest. Early on he said we could move to a different room, I asked how much longer (he didn't speak english very well), he indicated not long. So I said to just finish it. BIG MISTAKE. It was a nightmare. We finally asked for another room. 2 times in about 8 stays here- that's unacceptable. Too bad, we had some fun at this place. But with room maintenance questionable, I cannot recommend it like I used to.
