Great, great food with even greater service! I was on the hunt for the best lobster roll around Boston and after doing a little bit of digging on the internet a lot of reviews I’ve read have recommended on the restaurant Row 34. Upon walking in I felt too casually dressed to be dining there because it felt very upscale however the staff were still polite and courteous and immediately helped directed me to my seat on the patio. I ordered a lobster roll ‘warm in butter’ but asked if I could substitute my chips for a salad instead of which they did so without question. I am glad they did do that because my salad was crisp, fresh, and delicious. My lobster roll tasted like heaven on a loaf. The lobster meat tasted very fresh and flavorful and they were very generous with the butter! It was so good that I spared no crumbs behind aside from the slaw that I saved for last because I thought that it didn’t need it. The slaw was also okay but the star of the show was simply the lobster roll! If I had an unlimited budget I would come in everyday for the lobster roll itself. But yes one of the best if not the best lobster roll I’ve had in all of Boston! Go to them you will not regret it!!
We ordered both types of lobster rolls and one clam chowder. The clam chowder was good so we got off to a good start. It went downhill from there. I ordered the butter version of the lobster roll. It was chewy and had no flavor at all. I added some lemon hoping to give it some help but it was beyond saving. I was really surprised by the low quality since it's on Trip Advisor's customer choice list which is usually spot on. As if that wasn't enough, the total was $117 for a subpar meal. I wish I'd gone somewhere else to try my first lobster roll.
Very good selection of oysters and seafood dishes! It was nice to be able to try different kinds of oysters! The seafood curry and cream pie were also excellent. It’s a pricey place but you are paying for quality over quantity. Our server was superb and we had a very nice night out. *Note that you get parking redemption over at Stillings street garage, as per their website.
Thank you to the helpful staff at Row 34. We showed up on a Saturday night, without a reservation and they got us a 3-top immediately. The food was so good! Salmon crudo, razor clam ceviche, scallop ceviche and a few fried oyster sliders. The fish was so fresh and perky! If you are a fan of crudo or ceviche, you'll definitely enjoy Row 34. Also, I got my 7th bowl of chowder during my Boston Chowder Crawl. Row's chowder was very ham forward with nice size chunks of what I think was pancetta. Good consistency as well and a nice balance of herbs. Row 34 was a great way to cap off our long day strolling the Seaport neighborhood.
We had a team dinner here for about 20 people. They set up a gorgeous table on their patio, which was heated. For the number of guests, we had a preselected menu that was served family style. The NE clam chowder was one of the best I've ever had, the asparagus salad combo was something I didn't think I'd like but finished my whole plate, such a good combo! The meatballs were amazing as well! The beef medallions melted like butter, little to no fat, the chicken was moist and delicious with the mashed potatoes. The entrees went so fast I couldn't get pictures lol service was phenomenal, the staff was well attentive and sociable.
